Reconditioned Tracfones ??? Any advice-experience?

I am new here. This is my first post. I have an old analog 918 Tracfone, it is bulky & the battery life is awful. I only want one of these phones for an emergency or to keep it on standby when out. Was thinking of picking up a reconditioned Tracfone, but then I found this link (please read) [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and now I don't know what to think! Want to hear from others who have Reconditioned Tracfones or NEW and their experiences with these phones. And wanting to know which is more durable ....the Nokia 5180, the newer 2285 or one of the motorolas? Thanks for all your help!
