Chatter box ISO sewing machine

I'm looking for a good started sewing machine for myself. I'm looking for something in the low $100 range or less. I have seen several in the adds this weekend and I've looked at JoAnn also, but not sure what to get. I plan on using it for making curtains, pillows and possible some clothes. Anyone have any advice for me? I'd love your help.

Re: ISO sewing machine

I would say get one with the most stitches your money can buy. I have heard that some sewing shops sell used machines so maybe you can call around and get something that is REALLY nice for your 100 dollars.

I have a Kenmore that was 129.99 I think new... it was on sale and had a free case and sewing kit special with it. IT has been a great machine. Only thing is it doesnt have lots of extra stitches. I would have loved a few more bells and whistles but it does do all that you would expect plus a few more things.

It came with a great warranty and it is very quiet.

Good Luck!

Re: ISO sewing machine

Thanks for the reply, I ended up getting a Brother from Wal mart last week, so far I am pleased with it. It's the bottom of the line model, just under $100.
