I was looking too, and ended up getting the Leap Pad Gift Pack at ALDI. It was $48.99, but it came with 2 extra books, so it's like getting a book for free. I don't really think their prices are coming down on those. I wasn't even able to get one last year...all of the B&M stores were sold out. I checked pricing at the catalog company I work for (we sell their products), and even at our cost, it was about the same as Walmart's price, so no bargain to be had.

don't know if you have Sam's Clubs in your area, but I was there last night and there was a Leap Pad with two books included for around $48 plus there were books on sale--a 3 pack was around $29. there were three different sets of the books raning from preschool-3rd grade. i have been looking myself and this seems like the best deal to me...
