There is a cheaper way to do heartgard. I am a nurse at an animal hospital and there is a product called proheart which is an injection that lasts 6 months so you don't have to remember a pill every month and it is cheaper than heartgard. It should run about $20-25. Banfield pet hospital, which is in any petsmart, has wellness days where they do not charge for the office visit. That is exactly what I use!! I love those shots - the Vet just calls me and tells me its time for another! I dont have to try and remember giving the pill to 5 dogs every month!
