I am looking for pre paid service for my daughter. What are the best ones?

Tracfone is one choice. lots of people have trouble with them but i still like them. you buy a phone, can usually find one for under $30 then you buy cards that you redeem every 2 months or once a year. cards can be 30, 60 or 150 minute increments. the minutes dont expire but the phone must be used every 3 or 4 months to keep it active and a card must be added every other month. They also have a one year card and i think their is a special on that now where you buy the phone and a 150 minute card and you get an extra 100 minutes and you dont have to redeem any other cards for a year.

cards are available at many stores, staples, walmart, target or online.

i have also heard about the verizon free-up that works the same way only the cards look a little more expensive. I havent really checked it out so i may be wrong.

I can get a free reconditioned phone with a 1 yr - 150 minute card. I'm wondering if they will add the extra 100 minutes when I activate it.

it cant hurt to email them and ask them. I think there is a code for the extra hundred minutes. dont know if the code is good for 100 minutes when you buy 150 though.

thanks. i found a phone at amazon for 99 minus 50 mail in and a 20 mail in. phone would be 29.00. then i have 25 that i just deposited in my account and i should get free shipping. phone would end up costing me a 4 dollars plus postage. and if i can find a coupon that will make it even better. phone would end up being free. but now i saw someone with a cell phone that has a radio and i am trying to find that info and compare. thanks for all of your help. i will be looking for a couple of weeks unless i decide on the phone with the rebates. i looked into trac fone. i saw them at target. i am going to walmart tomorrow

I am also looking for myself for the best deal. So far I found the best deal at Wal-Mart. I don't know the price on the phone but the minutes were 25 cents each which is the cheapest i have seen. I am going to check another Wal-Mart this week to see if I can find the price on the phone. I would still like to find something cheaper if possible.
