Help with dvd player with speakers

Hi, we are just starting to look for a dvd player with the surround speakers and would like your input on them, don't need the top of the line but do want good sound, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Marcy (Also if you have any suggestions on a tv also, around a 36")
