| Do you make or buy a smock for your child?
With school starting for the children, parents are busy trying to get everything on their child's school list. THis is very new to me since I was in school many, many years ago and also since I do not have any children of my own. I have been hearing my co-workers comparng lists in the office. One thing that I heard was that they need smocks for the kids. My question to you is...do you buy one or do you make one? I remember my mother making one for my brother when he was in kindergarten. (Mind you my baby bro will be 45 on Tuesday!) Mom put some cute little sailboats on it (made out of mending tape), some brick-brack around the collar and wrists. Really cute. So, what does everyone say....buy....or .....make. (I had offered to make one for one friend who doesn't sew, but I think she thinks I also don't sew, which is incorrect). __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. I usually gave my kids one of my old button up shirts (longer sleeved). They were still big, but not near as big as my hubby's would have been. I think one year I even bought a button up shirt from the thrift store because I didn't have one to "donate".

Oversized shirts are great. If a smock is necessary though, I would make one. Easy to make, and fun to get creative with.
