Need Help Finding Name Your Own Price Hotel WebSite

This has been driving me crazy and I just know someone here will be able to help me out. We recently made reservations for the first time through Priceline.com. It went fairly smoothly, except we didn't get our first choice hotel. We're still happy because we got a great price on a couple of night's at a very nice resort hotel which we are looking forward to. But what I really wanted to use instead of Priceline was this other similar website that I had been hearing about on radio ads for weeks and weeks. Their claim to fame is that you actually get to see your hotel and rate BEFORE you enter your CC # and commit to your reservation. The radio spots are set up like they are talking to "people on the streets" and showing them what great deals they can get on hotel rooms in different cities. But I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the website. It doesn't have the word hotel or travel or even price in it, if I am remembering correctly. I know I'll recognize it if I hear it or see it---but I've done searches on google, iwon, and yahoo and it doesn't come up. Can anyone help?

It's interesting. I went to Hotwire to check it out.... You know how on Priceline if you make a reservation, whether you get it or not, it won't let you make another reservation in that same area for 72 hours? Well, I went to Hotwire, and it blacked out the same area that was blacked out for me on Priceline. I wonder if they are actually related sites.....

HUH, that's interesting! I even checked out a few other sites where you bid for a rate,etc and several were linked to Priceline.....

Just so you know . . . you can NOT pick your hotel on Hotwire!

Plus, I am an affiliate of both programs and I got a newsletter from Hotwire recently saying that they have hotels in 300 cities and over 1,000 properties . . . then, I got a newsletter from Priceline saying they have over 1,300 cities and over 9,500 properties with the guaranteed best price.

I can tell you that I sell about 30x's more hotels with Priceline than with the Hotwire site. Hotwire is a joke . . . you can't pick the hotel, they don't work with everyone (Priceline does) and they can't even offer a simple Marriott b.c Priceline has an exclusive deal with them . . . .

Since this topic got popped back up, I thought I'd add a link to a really informative site for folks who want some good advice on how to use Priceline effectively. Here it is:

You can search their forums by city or area, get lists of hotels that will come up under each region in Priceline, and find out what bids are being accepted or rejected at the moment. It also has info on using Priceline for package deals, airline tickets, etc. I always check in there before I put in a bid at Priceline.
