I never lie to my kids..<--- uhhh...that was a lie itself! Oopsie! LOL! I think I have hit on every one of those lines at least a tad if not fully..LOL!

Okay, any parent who really loves their children and has been forced to punish them knows that first isn't a lie. When you tell them you're going to spank them, or whatever, if they do such and such a thing, and then they do it, you have no choice but to follow through. But it does hurt the parent a lot more than the child.

The second one I've quoted is a bit different. Yes, I'd say many parents lie when they say that. What should be said is that they'll be in much worse trouble if they don't tell the truth. I can see situations where you should tell them they won't get in trouble if they tell the truth - but if you say it, follow through.

And the third. Girls do like a gentleman... unfortunantely many girls like a gentleman as a friend and nothing more. But the right girls like a gentleman exactly the way that statement means it. I know my wife loves it when I act like a gentleman (which I try to do all the time, but I'm far from perfect).

I NEVER go back on this for myself. If they tell the truth when I ask, they don't get in trouble..they may get a lecturing, but not any grounding and such....here's the kicker tho...Logan tells me the truth, I tell him to go on and play, bigger brother heard the whole thing and how he told me the real deal, big brother kicks his butt when he gets a chance. Soooooo...he does in fact get in trouble, just not by me! LOL!

Women like gentlemen, but I believe "girls" are attracted to the bad boy type first...hopefully they move on to better taste...some don't
