So sorry blue...I'll send mega strong good vibes your way!! Never have done the plasma or blood donation thing for money, I see commercials all of the time on TV. Pawn shops...hmmmm...only look to pick up games, but never took anything in for a little cash in hopes to "buy it back". Good luck babe!

I think it costs $30 or so to rent a car. Or call a cab. Or ask a coworker for a ride. Best way to make quick money is to work for it. Go to the Frederick Town Mall and get a part time job. The market is booming in Frederick...esp. on the Golden Mile.

My husband used to do the plasma donation thing when we were in IL...I can't remember for sure, but it seems like he got somewhere between $10-20 each time but I think he could only do it once every 2 weeks or maybe only once a month? |

Cool! Good luck! I live in Rockville, by the way. Let me know where you end up working around here and I'll come by and say hello!

How close do you live to work? Too far to walk? Do you have to get to work via a highway? I'm not familiar with that area you live in never having been out that way. Can you get to a library, check out freebies in the ad section of the newspaper or local free newspapers, the ones you get in the mail. Sometimes there are free bicycles or inexpensive used bikes. I found mine at a tag sale, just $35.00. Well, it's a start, until you get your car back. Or, put an ad on one of those file cards at the supermarket saying looking for carpool, will pay towards gas. Perhaps someone works near to where you do.

I'd suggest looking into public transportation as well. And, if you live close enough to work - walk! I can't drive anymore because of my eyes, so I know it's a royal pain when you have to get somewhere fast & cabs are so incredibly expensive. |
