Chatter box Wanna be a DoD moderator?
Hey gang... we may be looking to add a couple mods sometime soon. If you are interested, send me an email to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now].

Qualifications?

1) Mods must love DoD! That means you have been a member for at least 6 months and are an active poster. Regular deal posting is a MUST, not just general chit chat.

2) Mods must have a SERVANT'S HEART! Mods are NOT to lord it over others. It is NOT to be a power trip. Mods must be willing to actively moderate as needed. Sometimes this means being the "bad" guy where others are concerned. But it also means winning the undying love and admiration of those you seek to serve. ;-)

3) Mods must be even-tempered. Sure, we all tend to enter the fray from time to time, but the ideal mod will know when to stay out of a discussion. No drama queens or kings! A level head is a definite plus!

Our existing mods have been awesome and we owe them all a debt of gratitude for the endless hours that they have spent working to make DoD a great place. Some of them don't have as much time to dedicate to the site any more. Others are probably feeling a bit burned out after having moderated for so long.

And so, it is time for us to evaluate if some new faces might help to lighten the load of the existing mods, and provide fresh energy for DoD.

If you think you meet the qualifications and would make a great moderator, send me an email and tell me about it! I'm sure I will get many applications, but realize only a few will be selected. If I don't get to reply to your mail or if you aren't selected, don't feel bad! You are ALL valuable members of this site and you are appreciated!

Sounds like an interesting opportunity, thank you, but I think I'll have to decline...I've never posted a deal because I've never been lucky enough to get one that hasn't already been posted.
Also, I just don't think I want all that responsibility...I do admire anyone who accepts the position, though....
