What are 1 thing you wanted to be as a child and 1 thing you wanted to own?

I always wanted to have an all girl singing group. My sister and I came up with a name, "The Swirls". We were going to wear white boots as part of our costume. It was such a dream, but then, teens have so many dreams. The second thing I wanted was an above the ground swimming pool, or as they were referred to in the past "A Cool Pool".

That is so easy Tbear!! I wanted to be a "stewardess"..that's what they were called when I was a kid. They were so glamorous, with their little Mary Tyler Moore bobs and bleach blonde bouffants and little matching hats and suits. And they got to go exciting places! I guess my dream died when I read they had a height minimum. I stopped growing at 5'3"...decided to pursue a different career..lol.

As for what I wanted but never got..another easy one. An Easy Bake Oven. I wanted one SOOOOO bad. A bunch of girlfriends finally bought me one for me 33rd birthday

Growing up I was convinced I was going to have twin girls (Rachael & Rebecca) when I got married......two boys instead (wouldn't trade them for a million $! Welllllllll, on 2nd thought LOL) and then I was a lil older (Jr High) I wanted to own a Saab convertible. Know I wouldn't even look twice at them

I allways tell people that I wouldn't take a million dollars for my three kids. But I wouldn't give a plug nickel for any of them LOL

I wanted to be a famous singer. That went out the window when I realized I couldn't sing. I don't remember wanting to own anything. hmmm, nope can't think of a thing.

Growing up I wanted to be a veterinarian. I used to "doctor-up" all my stuffed toys as well as the family dog. Then when I hit college and took two biology courses, I quickly changed my mind.

As far as what I always wanted, well I always wanted a nice pool table. Several families in my neighborhood had them as I was growing up. Perhaps someday. I think I need a home to put it in first

I always wanted to be a ballerina (and was for a short time, real young)...then the one I most pursued was playing flute for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra...

What I most wanted as a child (and I know this isn't something you "own")...but that was a father...not to get sappy...but my father is anything but...

Indiana Jones. Archaeologist or an anthropologist. Wanted to dig up old things and dead people. And an author or librarian. I had so many books when I was growing up. Boxes and boxes and shelves and shelves of them. I'd stay up til all hours of the night reading...sometimes going to bed when the sun came up. I remember reading 2 or 3 books a night, more on weekends. Books were my life growing up. I could be anything and go anywhere.

When I was little, I wanted to be either a ballerina, singer or actress. So much for those dreams - my body developed far too much for the ballet & I have zero talent for singing or acting.

Then, as I got a little older, I wanted to be a jockey. I love riding and am short enough, but once again, my body is a little too well developed.

But, I wouldn't give up being a mom for anything! It's the best "job" in the world.



But, I can't think of a single thing that I wanted for as a child. Honestly - I've tried, but I think I was just too busy having fun to want anything else.

I always wanted a telescope, but my mom and dad said that was for boys.

Ive wanted to be a saleswoman. Weird huh? Cuz I always tried to sell my stickers and stuff. Price it, have it on sale - it's fun LOL
Hey, thats all I had when I was little wittle.

I dont think I was in a businesswoman's mindset, but Id always want to make a profit from my "so-called sales."
