But I also got the feeling that God had somehow lifted up the country at its eastern edge and anything that was loose rolled to the far side. Almost every person I met [with the exception of the mangager of Mike's Bike Shop in Hanford, CA (but he may have been an 'import')] had some sort of mental tic-some slight, some severe. Such a shame, really. It was only through God's grace and mercy, I returned relatively unscathed back to Georgia, with, I might add, a much deeper appreciation for the land of my birth.
So, yes, Dear Kat, in retrospect, it really did me some good to that trip. |
Well now, let's just see....I guess the only real advantage to living in Georgia is that you could marry your brother or sister, or both, and it's legal and accepted. (OK, I'm just kidding so don't get your hoop skirts and overalls in a bunch.)
Having lived in California for the past 30 some years, I can honestly say that this state may be beautiful, but it's also one messed up place. Then again, why wouldn't it be? Most of the people that are moving here are from other states. Maybe that explains the uprise in trailer parks. (And I said trailer parks, not mobile homes for all you wheel dwellers.)
BTW, AtlantaGal, I told you I was perfectly PC!
