Need Help Booking Vacation - Looking For Best Deal

Ok my friends.. Now I need your help!!

I would appreciate any assistance in locating the best deals, either on-line or off-line, on booking a vacation, including airfare, hotel and all inclusive. This is for December of 2000.

I have looked at a couple of sites but in order to get the price you have to provide your credit card and I don't want to do that just yet.

Hopefully, some of the deals I have posted have helped out some of you and now you will be jumping up and down with excitement to be able to help me.

Well, I certainly appreciate all your hard work, but the last vacation I took was in high school 15 years ago so I don't think any of my information would help, LOL. Unless you'd like to be a foreign exchange student.

Ok.. this may or may not help, but I don't use online services to book airlines, hotels, etc. I just go ahead & call their 800# direct and ask about the particular property that I'm interested in.

I do check out their websites before I call, get property location numbers, flight numbers I'm interested in, etc. and usually I've been very lucky where the CSRs have thought that I'm a travel agent and have automatically given me discounts. If you know where you want to go, I'd start off with the airlines websites and check dates/times for flights and then go through the hotels you're interested in for property names/location numbers.

Sorry if this isn't a whole lot of help - I haven't had the time or need to really investigate travel possiblities online.

If you're looking to vacation in the US, I have found that MLT vacations have the best prices for air & hotel. You can hit their website [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] (I think) and get their # to call for a price. If you book through them you have to pay it all up front. If you call a travel agent and tell them the MLT rate you found, you can book it through an agent for same price with only a deposit required. As for out of the country - my friends have had good luck on the reverse auction sites where you list what you want and the travel agents email you with their best prices. That's all I know - The vacation I took in Dec for graduating college was the first vacation I'd had in 6 years. You're making me jealous

I'm looking into vacations too! do you know what you want to do yet?? hubby and I and a bunch of our friends are going down to St. Augustine FL and renting a house that sleeps 12!! it's like $1200 a week, so it comes out to $100 a person, can't beat that!
