Question

This was to far off topic for the other boards so I brought it here. Since my husband purchased my beloved PC for me, I have signed up for countless mousepads and countless free ball caps from various places. I have lost track now of all of them. I signed up for the hat from beoutdoors.com, from jcrew, mousepad from freaky freddies etc. Out of all of this I received one of the mousepads I ordered and one hat!! Technically the hat wasn't even a freebie because it was from What's Hot Now with the Hot$$$$. SO I did have to work for it! Am I the only one who has seemed to notice that somewhere on our beloved earth there is a black hole that is full of all our free hats and mousepads???

Must be the same place where all those missing socks go. You know--like when you put six pairs in the wash, and you get out five pairs and a single.

LOL - I have only received one of those free mousepad deals - and it was a slick plastic-y thing that was unusable. Not to mention it was "decorated" with bloodshot eyeballs. (It was from Bausch & Lomb.)

I agree, not a single free hat, I did get a t-shirt way back when from drugstore.com (if memory serves it was free with shipping). Speaking of postmen, is your postman still FRIENDLY to you? Mine hates my guts! He practically YELLED at me today when he rang the buzzer! Me: "who is it?" him "IT'S THE MAILMAN!!!" Maybe I'll give him coal instead of a tip this Christmas (anyone know of any coupon codes for coal?)

With the actions of my postman and UPS man, I am thinking of skipping the coal and just scooping out the litter box! LOL! I have hade so many problems!

LOL Kim! Mine was getting this exasperate look everytime he had to make a second stop with the boxes, so I offered to order for him. He's a widower with 3 teenagers, so I showed him the bills & he was amazed at the little or no costs on them. Since he only lives around the corner, I'm now on the lookout for free/almost free stuff for him too - he was sooo happy on Friday to stop in for a minute & shop at Buy.com since he got in on both deals & free shipping - wound up paying out only .03 for the $30

I told him that was his Christmas gift & he's been thrilled with the multiple boxes he's been taking home for himself. But I'm already making him & the nice UPS guy (we also have a surly one!) gift baskets for Christmas too.

But, come to think of it, I haven't seen many of those Tshirts, caps or mousepads either. I'll talk to him tomorrow

Thumbs up

No Clue need to ask the wife if The postman is friendly! Of course the mail now comes around 5pm... Must have changed his route..

I know the UPS Guy is fairly nice.. Been doing it for like 15 yrs.. He talks about how much stuff he lifts a day.. I guess he could talk about their IPO now

But now he has a helper in the truck for the holiday season so not much talking now..

Well, seems I'm the lucky one so far. I think I got almost every t-shirt I signed up for (about 10) and 4 mousepads, though I've requested a lot more than 4.
Sometimes I get a t-shirt and have no clue what company it's from, since it's been so long that I've signed up for it!

Wow Andy! That's a long time to be waiting for some mail!

Come to think of it, I'm still waiting for all the free T-shirts, hats and mousepads I signed up for too. And it's been nearly 3 years now. Never got a single one.

Well... my t-shirts showed up since that last post - and they just kept on coming! So many, that I had a huge box of them at my last yard sale (they sold well since they were all brand new & I had marked them at $1 each ).

Caps... lots & lots of those too. Between my hubby & the kids, they've all been put to good use - hubby took a box in during the summer for his student workers so they wouldn't all burn the tops of their heads out in the field.

But mousepads... I dunno where those have gone lately.
