I've got a coupon question

In the Sunday paper there was a coupon at my local grocery store for a buy 1 get 1 free. On the coupon it said one coupon per family. Later in the week they run the same coupon but has different usage dates on the top (a 3 day expiring at the same time as the week long coupon.) SO Can you use both coupons at the same time? Are they essentially 2 different coupons though on the same product? Or is it considered the same coupon even though the dates are different and you would only be able to use one?

I don't know. Is there any fine print that says one coupon per visit?

If it is a store coupon, you have to ask the store. They all have different rules, different from manufacturer coupons.

It is a store coupon. They each say one coupon per customer. Because they put out 2 coupons in 2 different papers wouldn't it seem that you could use both at the same time? It's not like I bought 2 of the same day's newspaper to get 2. Do you know what I mean? Anyway, they were not happy to give credit for both, but they did. I just don't see how they can consider it one coupon. They are not identical because they have different dates. Why put them out if you are not going to honor them?

In another store's ad they had 2 identical coupons side by side for the same item and each said one coupon per customer. So what does that mean??????

I guess it means 1 per customer (per visit) although it's not clearly stated. As for the coupon with different dates, I would tend to think that they're essentially the same coupon and would fall under the "1 coupon per customer" rule.

There could be so many different circumstances behind the offer...

Some stores have a limit on the coupons you can use (as I mentioned in another post about a store here in CT), even if they are manufacturer's coupons. And many stores have a limit on sale items (example, one offer per sale item...whether it's BOGO, 4 paper towels for $3.00 with a limit of one offer...)

At least you ended up with the good bargain and they let you have it!! Kath
