Great story Jess - he sounds adorable! We are expecting a boy and I know he is going to be the darling of his two older sisters... Hey Naomi say hi to Chuck E. for me! I just love that new Chuck E's in Meriden (or Wallyworld, wherever it is, on the townline!!). MMMMMM I could go for some of those evil breadsticks right about now!! Kath

Thanks for making me smile this morning Jess! You sound more like a proud mama than a big sister. It must be so much fun to have a younger brother like yours. He sounds likehe's bright and verbal and very much the little thinker. What a treat for you to have such an important place in his life, but not have to be his "mommy!" |

Yes, it is really great to be like his mom but not actually have to be his mom. I was a big part of helping raise him because my step-dad owns a restuarant (2nd Counsins in Durham is anyone is from CT) and is almost never around. He's more like a son to me than a brother. But it is nice to just be his sister. Plus I can get away with spoiling him! My mom keeps emailing me all these stories about him! LOL...they make my day! Hey Naomi...maybe I will see you at Chuck E. Cheese one day. We go there whenever I'm home usually...and get tons of free coupons with the ones that are posted at DOD. So it's cheap for me (just have to buy a pizza and get tons of tokens). Plus Robby loves it. |

OT...certainly not to detract from Jess's post but LOCA ...my little brother and I are 35 years apart. Beat that!! LOL. And yes, he's my biological (half) brother! "Stepmommy Dearest" as I call her is only a year older than ME! |

Too cute!!! I like this one the best!! LOL Me, my mom and my littler brother were watching TV...Robby was had just turned 4 at the time and there was an info-mercial for an egg cooker that you put in the microwave. All through the info-mercial he was saying "And it makes brownies too!" We were all like "huh??" Then, at the very end...the info-mercial said "And it makes brownies too!" We just cracked up laughing! Children can retain things they hear sooo easily!

Awwwwwww....how sweet!!!! I definitely know what it's like to have a child say something and it totally lifts your spirits. I have to ask...since there is 14 years difference, did you go thru less of a "leave me alone, stop bugging me" kinda deal that a lot of siblings go thru? oops..editing the age difference.

He sounds so cute, Jess! And Paula, there's a 9 1/2 year gap between the first & second. I still got to hear "Mom - get him OUT OF MY ROOM!!" or "Mommy, she won't let me do xxx" all the time. Worse, there's a 15 year gap between the first & third, and just this afternoon I heard "Mom, will you please make him go away & leave me alone!" from the eldest and only the little guy was home to pester her. |

There is a 14 year age gap between me and Robby. The age difference in our case REALLY make us avoid all that sibling arguments. My other brother is almost 13 and, not only is in he in that extremly obnoxious pre-teen phase, but we always argue like brother and sister. He's so annoying. I love him to death, but he really gets on my nerves. Robby is so much younger than me that we never "fight". Like I said before, he's more like a son to me. The only time he makes me mad is when me comes in and wakes me up in the morning...I LOVE MY SLEEP! But it's funny how he does it...he doesn't touch me he just stands above me staring at me until I notice him there. LOL...I get mad cause he woke me up, but then he gets so excited to see I'm up that I'm not mad anymore. |

(Oops..sorry sblme, Loca's post must have stuck in my head a bit ) I think it's sweet how you can look back and say you enjoyed your little brother for the most part. Where as even tho we love our siblings, I remember more times we spent fighting rather than getting along..LOL!Kat..LOL! Geesh woman..I understand the age diffence between the rest of the kids and the last one born...you almost sound like you were trying to decide "hmmm..one more..naw..yeah..naw..yeah" LOL! Maybe it DOES tone down the fights tho compared to..say..MY HOUSE! LOL! Like someone is always getting old enough to go off and do their own thing, so they aren't around much to even fight. Unless of course they decide to make up for lost time..eegads! LOL! ALSO..the neat thing also is all of your kids got some major attention time before having to share it with another child. My 1st. and 2nd are 22 months (to the day) apart and the 2nd. and 3rd. are a little over 30 months apart. Geezie peezie bdinalbq...there's 2 whole adults between you and your little bro. You definitely missed the sibling rivalry!!! LOL!
