Corganiacs~thanks for your post on Layne Staley

I just wanted to thank you for your post. I was truely saddened to hear about this.

All the debates in your post led me to start this new one because the bottom line is:agree or disagree with his personal life, that is not the issue here.

The issue is: he was human being, who was a talented musician & who died (we assume) alone. Nobody knows what really happened & nobody knows what he was really thinking...

I consider Alice In Chains one of my favorite bands. While I may not have followed their personal life stories, I did find their music exceptional.

For me,it really was just about the music, I loved his voice & those riffs I actually liked his voice better than Kurt's or anyone else's that comes to mind.

Getting out my AIC tape right now, to listen to it, in his memory.

Mary Rob, you stole the words right out of my mouth. And thank our for making the same point as me that it can be about hsi music. He had an amazing voice, that was very distinct and unique. He was an amazing song writer and his lyrics are so...WOW!

The music world DID lose a true gem! (I agree with the two of you who posted this in the other post).

He will be missed by his friends and family. And his fans!

AIC is playing constantly in my room now. RIP Layne Staley. You touched many.
