Low sodium recipes anyone?

My FIL is in the hospital and has been for a week now. They are putting a pacemaker/defibrulator in on tuesday and have told him he needs to maintain a low sodium diet if he wants to live. Well for the first 2 weeks while he is housebound I will make the 30 minute drive daily to bring him low sodium meals and be sure he has everything he needs but after that he will have to begin to learn to cook healthy for himself during those times I can't be there. Do any of you know some simple low sodium recipes he could make on his own *remember he's a single male* LOL
or even low sodium crockpot recipes. I am thinking of buying him a crockpot if I can get together enough recipes this way he could just throw in all the ingredients and forget about it until dinner time.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Teah

KAMA is an unknown quantity
i don't know how many mg of sodium he's allowed but this site gives the sodium count on everything including the meat. you can fool around with the other ingredients if you find they have too much sodium. good luck.

i forgot to mention...

i don't know where you are but in ny we have "meals on wheels" . it's for homebound/elderly/live-alone people who might not cook for themselves. you can request low-sodium meals. i also believe the service is free but i'm not sure. maybe you can check in your area to see if they have something similar. good luck.
