Kohl's Opening in CA - Good Store?

A store called Kohl's announced plans to open several stores in the next year throughout California.

I've heard some of you make reference to this store, but I know nothing about it, except what I've read in our newspaper, that it's sort of like a Macy's but with central checkouts and shopping carts.

Please share your experiences with this store...do you like shopping there, how are the prices, how is the service, etc?

You will love Kohls! I guess I never thought of it being like Macys, but maybe more like JCPenney IMO...They have some nice things and always have a sale. Check out the website because they run the same discounts there. They run their sales in cycles so you can almost be sure that an item will go on sale in the next couple of weeks. Prices are higher than Target...I guess it is kind of a medium priced store.

Clearance sales are ongoing it seems. The only thing I don't like is the way they have their clearance sales. One week everything is 50% off the clearance price. The next week they've remarked things and they are now MORE than the week before. New lower sale tag, but not as good as the prior "deal". Once you get that figured out, you'll do fine.LOL

Kohl's is great! I love shopping there!

Good service, good return policy, super deals on clothes.

Lots of sales and great clearance items.

I've also bought shoes/sneakers there. Plus pillows and sheet sets.

I have to throw in a "ditto".

I love Kohls, it's the store I shop at the most. There are ALWAYS sales going on. I never buy anything there for less than 30% off. There are lots of 50% off sales too, especially around Christmas.

I'm with them!! Kohl's is a really nice store, with mostly quality merchandise and SUPER sales and customer service! It really is the best place to buy jeans and athletic shoes. And when they have their fine jewelry on sale, well, you'd better stay away, because they have some good deals in that department, too!

Well, to put it mildly, Kohl's is like a really crappy Mervyn's. I've been in several Kohl's and it seems like Mervyn's has them beat by a mile in every respect. Of course, that is just my opinion and I could be wrong....but I'm not!
