Chatter box Are you a fast food junkie?

I like just about all foods, all except for creamed corn, more for you. I rarely if ever go to a McDonalds. If I go to a fast food restaurant I try to stick with the chicken sandwiches. I do however, love pizza, ice-cream, candy, milk shakes.

Chick Fil-A

That is my weakness but I love their iced tea. They have great styrofoam cups that keep the ice and drink cold for a long time so I can buy one during my errands and it will last.

Their sandwiches are the best so I compromise- I stay away from the waffle fries and get the fried sandwich.

We also have Zaxby's here now- their chicken is awesome and I love the Zax sauce.

I generally stay good and far away from fast food.

Personally, I think Mickey D's $1 menu is the best,LOL
Actually prefer BK's fries and burgers but like McD's chicken!

Ok.. don't get sick, but the only thing I ever really want from the fast food places are an order of fries & a blizzard-type thing, or a milkshake if that's all they have (I dip the fries in the ice cream).

I can live without the burger, chicken, etc.

I used to be a fast food junkie, but not anymore. I'd rather eat at home or at a restaurant (ie - Olive Garden). I can't stomach anything but the fries from McDonald's or Burger King. Seriously! It makes me sick. I can handle the occassionaly Wendy's, the Hot Dogs from Dairy Queen and Hardees, and I can handle Hardees Roast Beef sandwiches. But absolutely nothing will ever part me from Arby's or Chick-fil-a. It really sucks tho because there is NO Chick-fil-a here!!! When I go back to VA to visit family this summer, going to Chick-fil-a is on the top of my list of things to do while there!!

Oh good - now I can show this to my hubby so he'll know I'm not the only one that does this!

He's always telling me that it's some sick habit that I picked up while I was pregnant.

Interesting question, I used to eat fast food a few times a week, until I got married. Now, eating fast food is very rare.

This post intrigued me because I just finished reading the book "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser. Has Any DOD read this book? It was a NYT's bestseller for 25 weeks. As a matter of fact, Rob Walker, in a New York Times Book Review on 1/21/01 said "...Schlosser is a serious and diligent reporter..." "[Fast Food Nation] is a fine piece of muckraking, alarming without being alarmist."

In this book, the history and evolution of the fast food industry is reported. Mr. Schlosser also delves into the ancillary aspects of a world's dependence and obsession with fast food restaurants and the industry’s dealings and machinations to meet the world’s demands, while increasing profits, year after year.

If you can, read this book. From a social science and economic viewpoint Fast Food Nation is a stark enlightenment into a world many of us take for granted.

Big grin Fries and ice-cream?

Really? Never tried that combo. I like yogurt only if I can eat it with a bag of chips, like Doritos, or Cheese-Its. Boston Market, wow, I used to live at that place! Memories. We don't go anymore, none near us. They now have Boston Market food in the frozen food section of the grocery store. Did you know that?

fast food rules

bring your own water bottle, no sodas. Order a side salad instead of fries. A good trick is to order a grill chicken sandwich with a side salad, then throw away the bun and place the chicken on the salad for a healthy meal. Wendy's sells chili!
