Okay, since there are what yanks your chain threads and what makes you cringe threads....how about..........

What Makes You Stop and Say WOW that is Fantastic??!!! Or What Takes your Breath Away??? (Phred, Telos, Sushi....I do not want to see the words boobs, butts or anything perv in this thread!!!) Let's think of Thankful things here people !!!

I love Thunder storms....Just the power makes me stop and watch them.....My kids acting like people instead of brats always makes me pause and say WOW they are growing up!......The way my dog looks after the Kittens, like he is their dad or something always puts a smile on my face.

but just looking in my kids rooms at night and knowing they are warm and safe.. Makes me happier then anything I can think of!!

I work with emotionally disturbed teens. I've been known to shed happy, proud tears when one of them finally breaks out of their anger, hurt and defensiveness to acknowledge a feeling or a truth after years of work (with MANY people, not me specifically.) I have so much respect for those kids I just wanna BUST!

just about everything new to me, an unexpected niceness, newborn babies just waking up/delight on a child's face
i love looking at lightning/thunderstorms too (when i'm in a safe place) and
a big WOW for my dd and ds for having settled into a nice niche in their lives (long time coming but worth the wait)

Sometimes during the winter the snow and ice covers the trees in such a way that it is so beautiful and perfect looking.

On Valentine's Day I looked out my back window and saw the sun just beginning to rise and the sky was all pink...how fitting on that day. We stood looking at the sky saying COOOOOOOL!

My 5 yr old has been saying some incredible things lately. He seems so smart! I know we all think that about our kids, but I can't help feeling he may be smarter than the average bear.
That makes me say WOW!

Oh yeah, and just marveling at how the human body works. I've been catching some of the shows on the Discovery Channel and they really make you think WOW.

It is good to have a positive thread going...wow! LOL

talking about nature's beauty reminded me of a big WOW. last year i was at ghost ranch in abiqui, nm and the sunrises/sunsets were truly magnificent. i had finally witnessed "purple mountain's majesty" and i could just sit there in the cold quiet staring at it for hours.

lately not much has made me say Wow but being away from my kids for 4 days and then getting them back made me think WOW I love them so much I dont think I could live without them.

Ok..I want to pull the car over so many times as I am driving home when I see clouds creating such a "perfect" image. I have to admit that a lot of times when I see what I think is the "perfect picture", I always comment to DH that it reminds me of the opening to the Simpsons. LOL! I love it when I get to see pink clouds. I LOVE taking pictures and I could spend hours just walking outside snapping away.

A "norm"..I love to see my kids sleeping, no..not because they are being quiet..LOL! I love imagining what thoughts are running through their head and when you see one of them show a little smile while sleeping you just know that the day was good for them also.

Our school does a weekend trip up to Ghost Ranch every year. Pretty awesome place! Are you from around here?

unfortunatelY, no. i'm from brooklyn, ny. it was my first time in new mexico. i stayed at ghost ranch to take a course in silversmithing. it was one of the best experiences i've ever had and i'll probably go back as soon as i could schedule some time.
it's really along trip from albuquerque (did i spell it right?) how old are the kids? they have a neat little museum, cattle rustler home, a working sheep farm and a labryinth. hope you all have a wonderful time.
