Really gross last few days....

Okay, I haven't been able to come to DOD often lately, because my almost 3 year old now knows how to use the computer and wants to go to her kid websites all the time! I have to sneak on the computer and hope she doesn't catch me or forget it....she's in charge...lol!

Well, the last few days started off pretty good. I had a great Valentine's Day. My daughter came in and woke me up and said "hey look....a BALLOON!" Well, my eyes were still rolling around as I was trying to wake up. I looked up and saw a big hellium balloon that said Happy Valentine's Day. Then my dd began to run around the room with it all excited. Then, I noticed a big red heart on my dresser that was painted by my husband...it said "I love you" and it had little stickers and stuff on it from my daughter. Well, I'm still groggy and trying to wake up and I rolled over and found a single rose on the pillow next to me and then I noticed that I was completely covered in little red paper hearts and there were chocolate kisses all over me and the bed...lol! It was only 7:00 a.m. and my daughter was like...."CAN I HAVE ONE???" Of course, since it was V-day, I said yes. What a great breakfast, huh! This was the most romantic Valentine's day I have ever had. I told my husband earlier in the week not to buy me flowers [my allergies have been really bothering me] and I asked him to just do something thoughtful instead. Well, he got a lot of brownie points for this one!!!

Later that morning, however, my dd decided to take her clothes off and remove her diaper as well. This is her favorite thing to do lately and it is getting old real quick. I cringe everytime I hear her announce..."hey, look at me....I'm naked!" Well, this time was the worst.....she took off a POOPY diaper. Ugh! Yep, there she was naked with poop all over her backside. Well, Happy Valentine's Day to me...lol! Okay, I get her cleaned up and we go on with our day.

The next night, my dd wakes up screaming crying in the middle of the night and when I go into her room, I find her soaked with vomit. It is all over her, her bed....everywhere! My dh takes her and gets her all cleaned up and I get the delightful task of cleaning the bed. Doing laundry at 2:00 a.m. was not fun... We then had to watch Barney for the next 2 hours until my daughter fell asleep again. And she woke up 2 more times to dry heave all over me....oh the joys of motherhood! LOL! The poor thing, I felt so bad. She was fine the whole next day, but then last night, she vomited all over her bed again! So, it was 2:00 a.m. laundry duty all over again.

Well here I am today, very tired and still grossed out. I hope this is the last I see of whatever bug she caught. She seems perfectly fine today, so I hope it is all over now. Just wanted to share my really icky last few days with you guys...hope I didn't totally gross you all out...ROFL!

Oh Lori.....I know exactly how you feel. Been there, done that more times than I care to remember...lol

The only thing that has really grossed me out lately is when my 3 yo daughter took a big ol' swig of my Mtn Dew (my morning coffee) in a bottle a couple days ago. I was unaware that she had done this. But when I went back to it, I opened it up and took a big drink and swallowed before realizing there were chunks of something in it. I had no idea what I just swallowed but started to immediately feel sick to my stomach while my husband was busting a gut laughing at me. He finally told me what she had done. She was eating biscuits and gravy and had backwashed in it! ICK, ICK, ICK!!! Still makes me wanna hurl just thinking about it...lol

So far the family over here has avoided that bug this year!!! But I can relate to the 2:00 am Laundry detail...my DD who is 12 still NEVER makes it to the toilet or in the bucket...she makes sure she "christens" EVERYTHING in her path

LOL!!! I was trying to teach my daughter to use the bucket if she was going to be sick, but she didn't understand the concept. If I thought she was going to be sick, I would hold the bucket under her chin, but she kept moving her head to the side purposely avoiding the bucket....

Well, no vomit from her today, but she sure had plenty of diarrea... What a pleasant post, huh!

Oh boy can I relate to all of you my daughter just got over that flu and boy was it bad. I guess i'm lucky she is only 4 and knows when she has to get sick so off to the bathroom she runs. But, I think I can top all of you. When my daughter was only about 2 weeks old I was laying on the couch with her on my chest. I went to get up so I held her up over my face and as I sat up then she spit up all over my face. Oh boy was I groosed out. I was so glad that my mom was right there to take her from me. Now that is one story I will have to defently tell her when she grows up. Sharon
