Buying a house

My husband and I are trying to buy a house. I was wondering if any one could tell me how should I suprise him. If and when we do find out we got the house. You see I stay at home with the kids so I will be here when we get the call. And more than likely he will be at work where he won't be able to get a call. My husband is your friendly UPS driver and doesn't get home till late. Any idea will help. Thanks Sharon

How far away from the house you live in now to the house you are buying? Is there anyone living in that house now?

If it's not far and no one is there, maybe you could leave him a note when he gets home one night saying there is an emergency at the house you are trying to buy and for him to meet you there as soon as he can. Then on the front lawn of that house, set out a beautiful picnic with candles or tiki torches and have a surprise dinner right there in the front yard when he arrives.

Or ask your realtor for ideas....I'm sure they've heard a few stories about things like this.

Thanks pandybat thats a great idea but, we only have one car and my husband drives it to work. I'm still not sure what to do. My realitor really doesn't have any idea being an older man all he wants is to sell this house to us and get his money. Any one have any other ideas?
