I just wanted to know because when I will be pregnant, I won't be able to think of anything because of all the excitement and all and don't want to mess it up by just blurting it out to DH. So, that's why I wanted to know how did you all break the good news and if you know of any innovative way to tell DH.

serve drinks in baby bottles

> sign his valentine's day card or gift Love, Mommy; To Daddy; or From Me and Baby

> for dinner serve baby back ribs, baby corn, baby carrots, etc

> rent one or more of these movies- 9 Months, She's Having a Baby, Three Men and a Baby, Cry Baby, Baby Boom, Rosemary's Baby (although this is not a great one to watch when you're pregnant, trust me, I did it), Bringing up Baby and/or Baby Geniuses. If you can, don't tell him the titles right off, make him watch them til he figures it out


This one is a little complicated, but would turn out great with some planning. Hide some clues around the house, each one leading to a new destination and clue. Follow me here, it'll all make sense in the last note-

> Make the first clue say something like 'if you want to cook and have it taste dandy, this appliance sure comes in handy'. Place the second clue in the oven.

> Have this one read 'when you're dirty and want to gleam get into this to get squeaky clean'. Hide clue #3 in the shower.

> Have it say 'if you're feeling hungry or need a beer, look for food and drinks in here'. Hide #4 in the fridge.

> #4 should say something like 'If you're going on a trip to unwind and sit back you'll need to have one of these to pack'. Place #5 in a suitcase.

> #5 will read 'If someplace you need to be, you'll never be late as long as you keep an eye on me' and put the final clue (#6) in a clock.

> The final clue will read 'Your prize is here, as soon you will see, according to the children's song, the magic number is ____'. Have 3 boxes ready, 2 empty and one with this note-

> "First you went to the oven, where you'll find a bun. Next to the shower where we'll have lots of fun. Then to the fridge for ice cream and pickles, and we packed our bags for when my water will trickle. When I found out we were having a boy, I blew up a room full of blue balloons and left they lay all over. My husband was working late and came in about 2 am and didn't turn on the lights and finally did and couldn't understand, so I just smiled BIG and then he wouldn't believe me!! HAHA

Hmm.. my dd is from my first marriage. I was having BAD cramps that hurt so bad I couldn't go to work. I couldn't do anything actually but lay on the couch. My mom insisted something was wrong and she dragged me off to the doctors. When he couldn't find anything wrong, he says "Any possibility you're pregnant?". Of course my response was "HUH?" So he did a pregnancy test and viola! Positive. When I came home my ex-dh asked "So what's wrong with you?" I said "Nothing". He got upset with the doctor and started yelling about how he was taking me to another doctor (Stupid Doctors don't know anything. How can you be in that much pain and nothing be wrong? Blah, blah blah). Then I screamed at him (had to so he could hear over his yelling) "I'M PREGNANT!!" His yelling stopped in mid sentence and I thought he was going to faint!

With my second and my third it was my husband who realized before me that I was "late" both times so he already knew. No surprise for him there. BUT! He came up with a really cute way to break the news to his mom. He gave her a cute little figurine of a little angel (I think it was a Dreamsicle figurine) holding a suitcase that said "Going to Grandma's". His mom noticed the "Grandma's" on the figurine and she was immediately suspicious! She asked him what that was all about and then he told her.

We both just thought so and bought a home test.
I remember how thrilled he was when we took the reading.
But, I like some of these ideas.

With Sadie, Bill told ME! My best friend kept asking me if I was, she said I had this GLOW....there was no way that I was supposed to be able to have any kids with Bill....Bill was told that he would not be able to have any more and I had not used any protection. Finally, we got one of those kits and I made Bill go in the bathroom and read it. He came out with a big grin on his face and I started crying. Tears of joy, of course!
