Last year I was in a mall in a larger city and they had a center area in the mall with free internet access so that might be another option, it was pretty cool

I'm sure it would be a piece of cake. My bro and sil just returned from a 3 wk cruise to the panama canal and were able to check into cyber cafe's along the way on any stops in a city. They checked and sent email, etc. If you can do it out of the country, it wouldn't be anything inside the USA.

I travel quit abit with my job. Most of the motels that I stay in anymore have have a computer set up in there lobby with complimentary internet access. I thought that was the greatest thing when I first saw it, but now it is popping up everywhere. Most of the days inns that I have stayed have this. I do alot of the shopping malls have what they call internet cafes set up within the mall. there is like 6 computers set up and you have to stand there and do your stuff.

Depending on what you were doing, you could even bother people you were visiting/working with as you travelled. personally, if I were going to travel for a couple of months and wanted to keep up with email, etc., I'd buy a cheapo $200 laptop (almost anything will do for this purpose) rather than having to deal with driving around and finding a place to connect to the net. Over a few months you can waste a lot of time doing that, unless you are pretty sure you'll be near malls, hotels, etc, when you want to connect. I guess it all depends on where you are going, where you are staying, how often you are going to move on, etc. |
