I went through this yesterday. Don't delete the file from your computer. Even though it has a strange-evil-looking icon, it's a file that comes with Windows and is supposed to be there. The person who sent it to me later sent me two emails with the hoax info links (which I deleted) but here's another: At [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] click on 000015 for sulfnbk.exe info.

My husband is a computer consultant and he told me this is a hoax. I have included a link that will show that this is a hoax and can tell you how to restore the file if you have deleted it. http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/sulfnbk.exe.warning.html For future reference, if you ever get an email like this, search www.symantec.com, or cert.org to find out if it is real or what you should do. Hope this helps! |
