Accident
We just got home from what was supposed to be a quick errand, but along the way we had a car accident. It was nothing serious, and neither me nor my son was hurt. A car cut me off, and I braked and swerved to avoid an accident, hitting a high curb on the side. I blew both right tires, destroyed a steel wheel. The other car drove off.

It sucks...money is tight right now anyway because we've recently bought a house, etc. --But we're okay. And someone once told me that a problem you can throw money at and make it go away is not a very interesting problem. But, if you have any to spare---I could use sympathy.

You've got my sympathy - I am so sorry that you had to go through this - it really shakes you up - but stay focused on the positive, that you and your son are A-O-K - and that is really all that matters.

Things have a way of working out for the best, we don't always know it at the time - I always think that things could have been worse and consider myself lucky -

Keep the chin up - sending you positive and healthy and happy energy...

I am really sorry to hear about your accident.. it totally stinks that the other driver didn't stop to see if you were allright.

The good news is that you, your son and the rest of your family will be spending another Christmas safely together and enjoying the company of one another. Keep that in mind (which I'm sure you are).

Yes, but it's going to be less than the deductible, so it's not worth the risk of a higher premium.

Tons of sympathy & empathy from me...I had something similar happen just a short time before my wedding - grrr!!

You may feel a bit of muscle ache tonight from tension and any strain you may have had...sometimes it takes awhile to show up (BTDT)...hopefully you won't though!

Well, the car is already repaired, which is nice. $240 plus $75 for towing (The cop wouldn't let me wait for AAA--argh )

WOW Kathryn..sorry I "overlooked" this post. So sorry to hear of your scare and misfortune. Glad it wasn't ANY worse. I'm sure you about shook out of your own skin tho. I am like a paranoid freak while driving. DH says I drive so safely that I'm likely to cause an accident...LOL! Hope Julian (sp.) wasn't too freaked.
You weren't "allowed" to wait for AAA? Really? I'll have to remember that, you can turn in the charges tho can't you and be reimbursed for the tow? I hope so, every little bit helps.
It does seem like when $$ is tight, if it can happen..it will. LOL!
