You know you are a freebies junkie when you ...

Got this from About.com and I must say I saw myself in a few of them, think maybe you will to.

You know you are a freebies junkie when you ...

... have ever played an instant win game for two hours in order to win a 35 cent piece of candy.

... still eat cereal you don't particularly like just to get the free toy prize inside.

... have had to add extra storage space for all the freebies you have accumulated.

... get freebies withdrawal if your Internet connection goes down for more than an hour.

... consider searching for freebies a profession, not just a hobby.

... display free items you have received like other people display trophies.

... order freebies for other people as gifts.

... have purchased a color printer just so your Web based coupons would look prettier.

...like getting AOL CDs -- they make wonderful free coasters or can serve as crude mirrors.

... have a stack of SASEs just waiting to use for requesting freebies.

... know what the acronym SASE stands for.

... have ever done a new vehicle test drive just to get the freebie they offered.

... have considered creating a new weight loss diet where all you eat are free food samples.

... refuse to buy anything unless you can get a free sample first.

... take your family to the produce market and tell them that the free samples are their dinner.

... cut back to working part time so you have more time to order freebies.

... can't remember the last time you actually paid for something.

... have enough free mousepads to carpet a small room.

... find yourself reading this when you should be working.

... at age 35, are still eating fast food kids meals to get the free toy.

... take a typing class just so you fill out freebies forms faster.

... have an entire wordrobe of free T-shirts and free baseball caps.

... Freebies Features News is the first email you read everyday.

... are dissappointed on days when only one freebie arrives at your door.

... sometimes forget to go to bed because you are on a hot freebies finding streak.

... desperately search for free eye drops and pain relief cream because your eyes are strained and you have mouse wrist from spending too much time online hunting freebies.

... have companies trained to send you freebies before you even request them.

... have a music collection consisting of tapes and CDs that no one (including you) has ever heard of - hey, at least they were free!

Re: You know you are a freebies junkie when you ...

LOL! Yes! These are so very, very true. Except for the AOL discs, I give those to my son, they make great frisbies in the summer! LOL!

And yes, we did have to reorganize and create new storage space so I would have more room for my freebies, since not only do I get free samples and various other free items from different offers, but I am also a huge couponer and carry home a lot of free stuff that way, as well.

My free stuff has gotten so out of control, that I no longer had room in the bathroom linen closet for towels, sheets, and etc. My husband went out and bought a hamper with a standing rack and shelves, so we have a place to put the towels, I moved an old desk out of my son's room and placed it sidewise sticking out of the closet against the wall, so the shelves are sticking out (it didn't have drawers) so we can put sheets and pillow cases on the top and other stuff on the shelves, plus be bought me several of those plastic drawer carts with wheels so I have somewhere to put all the other stuff.

Re: You know you are a freebies junkie when you ...

LOL verwon! That is too funny, I keep trying to figure out what I am going to do with all the stuff I keep getting... at the same time I have been selling old stuff on ebay to make room for my new treasures! Oh and my hall cupboard has no towels or linens either!!! Its FULL of other stuff, mostly freebies except for my shelf (make-up and hair accessories), and the kid shelf for all the bath stuff Gramma bought (shes a nut and buys whatever she thinks smells good!)
Now my desk is begining to get over run from the coupons and office type freebies, but I am working on my new organizer to take care of the basket-o-coupons.

I forgot about the AOL discs, I keep them for my Mom, my Dad is a Computer Tech and they have a green lights and metal only tree for the front yard during the winter (she still hasn't taken it down!) and she decorates the AOL CDs, hangs them on the tree and at night with the green lights, relflective surface on the one side and glitter on the picture side these are perfect. They actually look nice and fit my Dad's occupation! I do love when they come in a nice case though, I keep them for the CD's I burn or my back-up file CD's

Re: You know you are a freebies junkie when you ...

I guess theres really no such thing as a freebee junkie, I mean, "FREE" is the most falsely advertised word EVER!!. Whever you see something claiming to be FREE, its just a gimmick to get your attention, then comes in the small print, "just pay $7.87 S&H" or something like. I guess what makes me a junkie is that it keeps getting my attention lol....

well what I ment is that when you see a ps3 or ipod, your gonna have to do something to get that for free. When it comes to getting free samples of cat/dog food/ or low priced baby items, small sample bottles of shampoo, toothpaste yeah you can get alot of that stuff for free, but the gimmicks I ment were electronics and so forth, like what other people were saying at the start of this thread above, most advertised FREE merchandise is a sham, and you'll end up spending more money doing what is required to receive that free ps3 or ipod, dvd playet etc.....

although my friend did get a free dvd player on this forum a while back, but I saw the same one in walmart last year for $14.98 and it can be had for $5 on ebay now, so its not too much of a freebee as I'm sure a company somewhere has 500+ qty and can use them as a great advertising tool by giving them away.
