| ON MONDAY, ON TUESDAY.....
ON MONDAY.............. ON TUESDAY........ On Monday there were people fighting against praying in schools On Tuesday you would have been hard pressed to find a school where someone was not praying On Monday there were people trying to separate each other by race, sex, color and creed On Tuesday they were all holding hands On Monday we thought that we were secure On Tuesday we learned better On Monday we were talking about heroes as being athletes On Tuesday we relearned what hero meant On Monday people went to work at the World Trade Center as usual On Tuesday they died On Monday people were fighting the 10 commandments on government property On Tuesday the same people all said 'God help us all' while thinking 'Thou shall not kill' On Monday people argued with their kids about picking up their room On Tuesday the same people could not get home fast enough to hug their kids On Monday people picked up McDonalds for dinner On Tuesday they stayed home On Monday people were upset that their dry cleaning was not ready on time On Tuesday they were lining up to give blood for the dying On Monday politicians argued about budget surpluses On Tuesday grief stricken they sang 'God Bless America' On Monday we worried about the traffic and getting to work late On Tuesday we worried about a plane crashing into your house or place of business On Monday we were irritated that our rebate checks had not arrived On Tuesday we saw people celebrating people dying in the USA On Monday some children had solid families On Tuesday they were orphans On Monday the president was going to Florida to read to children On Tuesday he returned to Washington to protect our children On Monday we emailed jokes On Tuesday we did not It is sadly ironic how it takes horrific events to place things into perspective, but it has. The lessons learned, the things we have taken for granted, the things that have been forgotten or overlooked, hopefully will never be forgotten again. On Monday - pray and be thankful On Tuesday - pray and be thankful On Wednesday - pray and be thankful On Thursday - pray and be thankful On Friday - pray and be thankful On Saturday - pray and be thankful On Sunday - pray and be thankful ********** I am so saddened by recent posts - posts that have appeared on this board when they should have not - posts that have condemned others for not believing the same as others... posts claiming their way is the only way and all others are damned. Well, I for one must say to you all - all those that perished in this latest horrific event are in heaven with God and there is NOTHING any of you can say to convince me otherwise. Please take stock in humanity - please take stock in life and the beauty of what it was meant for - please understand that we are a diverse community and we should all be appreciated for our differences - just stop spewing hatred based on differences.

Thank-you for posting this-so true. It hit me right in the heart(had to stop reading and come back to it because I was crying so hard.)- one day changed all our lives forever I haven't been around to read the other post- guess I'm kind of glad. I just know I'm glad to live in America- where we can all agree to be different and still be Americans.

Oh babe..simply beautiful and so true. We've seen this happen so many times right here...one simple post asking "WHY" we felt the way we do turned into ppl. saying they believed they were right and others were wrong. That's not what the poster was asking..she simply wanted to know WHY we believe the way we did..not try to change my way of thinking. Do you believe because you actually put it all under great scrutiny, because it was the way you were raised, because it just feels right (yeah, I know Mayor that just burns your butt, but some ppl. simply just "feel") or maybe because of an event or person in your life that turned your heart around. That part was ignored to a fault, Yes, that question was a very personal opinion..how you come about your beliefs was asked for..again, not a means to "convert" people or bash their ideas, beliefs and so forth. I think some ppl. being blamed for taking it "too personally" are actually the scapegoats for those who take it upon themselves to say who's going to ****. It wasn't a type of test. You didn't pass or fail..you just shared!!!! WOW..where did this all come from? I have no idea, but not sorry I said it and I managed from saying BITE ME..lol! Sorry I couldn't leave the post without some goofy "antidote"..{{{{TIGGS}}}}

Tiggers Lady, you are always able to succintly state exactly what I am feeling. MY God loves each of us. MY God is forgiving and merciful. MY God looks inside our hearts and lives there with us. MY God isn't vengeful. Our country was founded on freedom of religion. So many people seem to forget that. I may not hold the same beliefs as you or anyone else on this board. But I am glad that we all are entitled to our opinions (under the Constitution) and have the freedom to worship whomever and however we choose. |

| TIGGS..now why did you get me to thinking..?!?!?! LOL! You know as well as I do that it can be very dangerous..LOL! Here's what my thought was, well..it's really more of a question...I wonder how many friendships some people have missed out on because they have judged soley on something other than "just the person"? ...Now my heads starting to hurt..you owe me some Motrin! LOL! I had to add this..I totally understand that a person's heritage, religion etc..plays a part in who they are, BUT say for example..I'll use Tiggs and I since I'm certain I'm safe..lol!...say I was brought up to believe those of Jewish faith was just full of hype and misconception..but Tiggs and I met and a school function and hit it off great..we're hanging out all the time, but later she says something about one of "her" Holidays and it hits me that her beliefs are totally different than mine (they're not mind you)..because of this..I start distancing myself and we never fully get to explore the friendship in it's entirety. Certainly this makes no sense JUST BECAUSE WE DON'T EMBRACE THE SAME RELIGION/FAITH. I would be depriving myself and my kids if I felt the need to shun and bash another's religion. To tell you the truth...if I ever told someone they were going to be damned for an eternity because they didn't believe in "my God"...I hope they say BITE ME and smack my head off JMO of course

Without any feeling tho we would screw ourselves..JMO ![]() Fact..it's been 9 days since the WTC crumbled... Fact..it's safe to say the surivors will probably be next to nil.. Fact..no survivors have been found since the 2nd. day.. Fact..the most crucial time is within the first 48 hours.. Fact..rescuers are tired, uncomfortable, emotionally drained and missing they're own families... I could go on, but the point's still there.. Feeling..we must keep looking even tho that FACTS are stacked against us. ...so sometimes just because we FEEL something is right, doesn't make you ignorant..it makes us COMPASSIONATE! That there is JMO ![]() I may be compassionate...and I may also feel passionate about about my beliefs..lookie there..comPASSIONATE.

Please, please, the prayer is public school debate has been mute since a Presidential Commission published released guidelines concerning praying in public schools. Now is not the time to divide us over old, stale, issues. |
