overtake hijackers according to phone call from a victim on the plane. Just as a lot of us thought. What courageous people......who knows how many lives they have saved???

CNN confirmed.............They said they are still not sure if that's why they crashed or not.....but it sure sounds likely!!!

I agree.........surely, without opposition, the hijackers would have hit their mark.

Bless those that gave their lives unselfishly in this ongoing tragedy......on the planes, in the buildings, on the ground.

They lost their lives to save many hundreds that would of been lost also. Yes,,,heroes who we can never thank. That is one target (wherever it was) those terrorists on that plane didn't get.

It's being reported that flight 93's intended target was Air Force One carrying the president. Those brave men not only saved lives, they saved the country from the unimaginable chaos of loosing the president on what was already the most unimaginable day the country has seen in recent memory. Could you imagine Pearl Harbor and the assination of the President Kennedy happening on the same day! (Yes I know those events were 22 years apart.)

President Bush was not on Air Force One when this all was happening. He was at a school in Florida....

Other speculation about this plane's target is Camp David, the Capitol Building, or even the White House.

They died serving their country... they may not have been in the military.. but they definitely acted as true Americans in an attempt to not only save themselves but each other and potentially thousands more.

I have been in shock, still am, but driving home today, listening to National Public Radio.............. I cried. I cried for the three young children whose uncle talked to their father by cell phone before the crash.........."Please take care of my children and my wife......"

My God......... and this is just ONE family...........

The magnitude of this tragedy is just unfathomable. For once in my life, and I truly mean this, for the FIRST time in my life.....words fail me to describe this, fail to describe what I feel.

The people who hijacked the planes felt they would be the martyrs. However, it is the men who overcame those cowards and crashed the plane to save the lives of others that I feel are the true martyrs. God bless these men!
