New Reality Show Starting Tonight - AMAZING RACE

11 Teams of two people, each with a pre-existing relationship, will set out on THE AMAZING RACE around the world. Tune in for the adventure of a lifetime! Premieres Wednesday, September 5 - Only on CBS.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

I can't wait! I think I like the reality shows where people have to actually do something rather than sit around all day like in Big Brother.

Let's meet back here after the show and discuss......

Side note:
SURVIVOR Castaways Visit BIG BROTHER 2
Survivors Sue, Gervase, Alicia and Jeff make a surprise visit to the BIG BROTHER house - one hour before the premiere of THE AMAZING RACE!
8:00 PM ET/PT

PS...don't give anything away for people on the other coasts that haven't seen it yet. We don't want to spoil it for them.

Sounds good so far....

Amazing Race got a great review in the Washington Post today. It also got 3 1/2 stars out of 4 in USA Today. I'll be watching!

Tonights Big Brother should be good with the Survivor vs. BB2 challenge!

Also, wish I would have known about the Amazing Race, dh and I would have totally loved to try out for that one! Our only dilemma would have been what to do with the kids!! LOL! Maybe a couple of papooses would have worked!

I really enjoyed The Amazing Race. I just happened to turn the TV on as it was coming on, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it. Both my sons and I enjoyed it. Though, I was hoping a different team would be eliminated. I lauged my head off everytime those two guys placed ahead of that one couple. It seems that no matter how hard that couple tried they could not reach the target before them.

By the way, for those of you who missed it and would like to see it, they are playing an encore presentation of the first episode on Sunday after 60 Minutes.

But tonite I missed big brother I was visiting next door with DH aunt...that was nice to though....

I started to watch the amazing race when i came home but then my son came in and said moommmm Fear Factor is on.. I havent seen that in a few weeks. So I let him put it on.

I sometimes think my life is dull between me looking forward to these reality shows and some times talk shows during the day...

Which couple got eliminated? I couldn't remember....was it the married couple? Some of the couples look alike.

They must have really gotten lost since they got there in the dark.

Good show! I'll keep watching!

It was the blond guy with the pony tail and goatee and the woman with the red hair. I think they might have been the engaged and living together couple, but not positive.

I can't believe that separated couple are doing it in hopes of strengthening their relationship. The Amazing Race does not seem like a reconciliation tool to me! Don't know if you all caught it, but she was glad they were on the first charter, the first group, etc. etc. and his attitude was "anything short of 1st is losing." C'mon dude ~ it's the first show and still 10 couples left - you got PLENTY of time and are doing GREAT as it is!! And the mother/daughter team are going to drive each other CRAZY! I loved the grandparents.....what a great guy he was - you could see the love and admiration for his wife!

I actually don't see this show hooking me in.......did anyone see Lost last night? That was NBC's new reality show......aired opposite BB2 last night so we missed it.

As for me..................I'm waiting anxiously for The Mole 2 and for Survivor 3!!! Bring it on!

I'm not a huge fan of "reality" shows, but I was sooooooooooooo looking forward to LOST for some reason. The commercials reeled me in. After the first few minutes I was disappointed. I didn't like the people there. I tuned in to Amazing Race which I wasn't looking forward to and didn't expect to like, but I did. Hubby actually watched with me and he hates the "reality" shows. LOL I think this is one I'll be watching.

This is back on tonight. I saw a commercial for it last night on Big Brother 2 on CBS. It should be on at 9pm (I say "should" because BB@ was supposed to be on from 8-10pm and they changed it at the last minute to 9-10pm).

Anyhow, I have forgotten why I liked the first episode so much. It seems like a lifetime ago I watched it.

Oh well, I'll be watching tonight.

I was so glad when those two teachers got last place. The way they were treating everybody, they deserved it. Even with all their schemes and nastiness, they still got last place.
