| Murphy's Law... Sushi don't use the Visa Check Card! Whelp, guys Murphy's law has been in effect this week, just wanted to share this with you, cause you know misery loves company. LOL! The week began well, or at least I thought it was. Alex started Kindergarten without a hitch on Monday, so I was so happy to have a bit of time for myself. Both boys in school... YAY! Well, I was working on a web site for an organization and the people who contracted me came up and wanted to see the site and "tweak" it a bit before our deadline of Wed. at 6:00 PM to have it up. Things went really well, except I came to the realization that I cannot have my clients "hovering" over me. Now don't get me wrong, they are wonderful people, but I saw myself growing more on edge. Well, Wed's deadline came up rather quickly and they are anxious to see the site up and running. Well, I publish it, but you couldn't see it, where did it go you may ask? My home directory. So what was displaying was my actual file folders. Well, I think, no problem, I just have to move them over to my sub directory. It won't let me. Says my password isn't right and I know it is. I download another version of CuteFTP, still nothing, try it from my FP2000 FTP and still nothing. I had to wait for tech support to move it for me the following day. Well, with that small trauma over, I go on to the rest of the week. On Thursday I get a call from my bank. My Visa Check Card number has been lifted from the VISA SITE! Not one of the sites I have bought from, but the Visa site itself. Me and about 2500 other people. They don't think they got anything and are covering it 100%, but they have "redlined" my entire account. The check cards are no good, I can't get money out for 5 days and will have to be issued ALL new numbers for everything. Well, I think that isn't so bad. I'll have all of my new stuff in 5 days and then I remember Brian is in Canada with NO way to get money out now that the check card is no good. I have to go down to the bank and ask if there is anyway to get money out of my account. No, it is redlined for 5 days, so I had to ask my MIL for cash to wire to the DH. EMBARRASSING! I have not had to ask anyone for money in years. Really humbling, ya know. Well thinking that it is the weekend and this should be good, Brian will be coming home on Sunday, so we are getting excited and all. We wake up and are heading out to the Highland Games this morning and I hear a faint "mewing" sound. Well many of you know my cats were out of the house for a week or so, because they ran away breaking out of the house through the screens. Well Shasta my Tortie Calico came back with a present for mommy, she was slightly PG. Mother nature decided to give Mommy her present today. The faint mewing was the cry of a baby kitty. Well that would be no problem, even if you have to go because Mother Nature takes care of things for the most part... RIGHT? Well Mother Nature didn't tell Shasta to have them on to of the DH extra Khaki Pants that were folded in his closet, but she did. They were sitting on top of a box in there and she had them on top of the pants, on top of the box. Baby Kitty was crying because she/he had fallen off the box, in between the box and the wall. So, picture this, I am in all of my Tartan garb, sash on my shoulder, Kilted Skort the whole 9 yards. I have to stop, put Momma Kitty and the other babies in a box, take everything out of the closet to get to fallen baby kitty, find two more that had fallen and had not made it (they were really cute, but both had broke their necks and were not breathing) and find another baby alive. All of these had fallen in the crack. All total she had 7, 5 survived. So I had to clean up the mess, bury the two babies that didn't make it, all in my 100% WOOL Tartan that was imported from Scotland, and then speed off to the games. We get to the games and figure out it is humid and hot today, with my WOOL on (yes, I do think I have got to be nuts!), but the games were good and I had a good time. I came back a bit early because the boys were getting hot and tired and were whiny! SO, I am hoping that next week is absolutly wonderful for all and for me, cause I need it! I do understand that all of this is really so petty when others have so much more on them than I do, but do you ever just have one of those weeks???
