I hope you will all forgive me and understand where I'm coming from....

There is an option to "Report Post to Moderators"...

Anyhow... I think some people are a bit to jumpy when it comes to this option. Just my honest opinion.

We are here to help EACH and EVERY one of you.. and most of you are considered friends in my book.

But..

to me.. this option really should be used when there is affiliate stuff where it shouldn't be.. or rude or obscene comments or other like things.

I can't tell you how many dozens of e-mails are received reporting out of date posts, duplicates and other things. I don't think (my opinion again) that these are significant traumatic situations requiring every moderator to be informed.

It is my true feeling.. that I would appreciate it if each of you who use this feature used your discretion when reporting things.

It's so difficult to fully explain in writing.. but I'm hoping you will understand. I'm not singling out anyone. I just wanted you to know how I feel and how cumbersome this can be at times when we are receiving dozens of "reports" about things that are sometimes trivial.

Seriously, thanks for the update Jeff. I think I've used that button once or twice and I'm glad its there. Lets just not cry wolf too often. We can't see how bad it is since there aren't any stats. Maybe a mod can keep track for a while and let us know?

I've used that button in the past when newbies post their mailing addresses in their posts. Being that they're newbies, I didn't think sending them a PM would help b/c they probably don't know of that feature.

So if I see people posting their home addresses should I report it to a mod or leave it alone?

As for you Loca... I've handled some of your reports with people putting their home address in.. that is perfectly fine to report.. as it is much better that it not be posted.. so it is appreciated.
