Unhappy

I must admit, I wasn't always an Amazon.com tramp. No, I wasn't aware of sites like Deal of Day. I'm ashamed to admit that I missed out on some great deals. Perhaps that's why I'm making up for it now. When I did become aware of DOD and the like, I was afraid to shop online. Instead, like a dummy, I shopped at B & M stores. I didn't pay FULL PRICE, however! No, that's something I did only as a crazy and irresponsible teenager.

It was last year when I started to shop online! Oh the deals that were to be found. *sigh* <<reminiscing>> Remember the 800.com 3 DVDs for $1--with free shipping? Drugstore.com freebies FOR all customers with no minimum? PlanetRx freebies? Etoys amazing deals? I got in on everything I could once I became accustomed to shopping online. I signed up for freebies I didn't need. (However, I DID draw the line SOMEWHERE--like the free cow food, free camel hair, free toothpick, etc )

Anyhow, I digress. I became an Amazon.com tramp a few weeks ago when the TOYS in the outlet were being shipped for FREE!!! I thought, "How can ANYONE resist a deal like this?" Plus, there were COUPONS to make the outlet clearance an even better deal! oh my! I bought dolls, I bought puzzles, I bought Sesame Street Toys, I bought Pooh items, and THEN I bought a 27 MHz Humvee! The sad part is, I DON'T HAVE CHILDREN. Nope, I don't have any. I bought all these toys because of the low, low prices! I figured, I'll buy them now and figure out who to give them to later. Oh, I feel so cheap and used! After all my toys arrived, I felt guilty for spending so much money.....BUT think of all the money I SAVED!

The toys were initially for children in the family..... BUT THEN...... hubby saw the HUMVEE. He had to have it! I felt bad telling him it was for others so I let him keep it. He charged the battery, went outside and played with his toy. hahha what a sight. I thought that was the end of it, because all the Humvees were showing up "out of stock" but then it happened. The other night the 49 MHz Humvees were BACK IN STOCK!! I couldn't believe it! These toys are STILL $59.99 at TRU B & M and were only $15 at Amazon! I HAD to buy more! I bought 4 I'm going to keep one and figure out what to do with the others.

so now you know my story. Please don't flame me for being so loose.

Hey Loca! Congrats on all your super deals! My hubby would probably keep the HUMVEE too! Men! They act like such children! Ok, Ok. I have my moments too.
I haven't been shopping online too much recently... busy trying to get a head start on Back To School Clothes. My daughter's getting into the "Cool Brands" now. <sigh> So much for cheap Walmart Clothes! Hmmm... I'll have to go check Amazon out and see what I am missing.....

Say, if you can't figure out what to do with some of those toys, there's always the Toys For Tots, Angel Tree, and the like that are always asking for donations around Christmas time.

eek! not the "cool brands"! Try ROSS and Marshall's for the name brands for less (you probably already knew that!) They also sell cool clothes at Target. Though I've noticed that sometimes their full price is HIGHER than some of the clearances at stores like Macy's and JC Penney, which in my opinion, are most times of higher quality than Walmart and Target.

I'll DEFINITELY give the toys away if I can't figure out what to do with them.

Thanks Loca! So far she's estatic about the clothes she finds on the clearance section in Old Navy and in Marshall's. She wants a pair of Sketchers sneakers, but I told her "Sorry kid, but you've got to deal with generic shoes until your foot stays in them longer than 6 months!" Geez... what is it? $40 for a pair of those things? Maybe once her foot stops growing so much, but now? No Way!
I have never heard of ROSS. Maybe we don't have one, but it wouldn't hurt to check my phone book just in case. We do have a place called TJMaxx, which is suppose to be pretty much the same as Marshalls. I haven't been there in years tho.

I've never been to TJMaxx even though there's one nearby. yup, they're like Marshalls.

DH got some cheap Sketchers at Ross... I got some cheap ones at JCP clearance. I like Sketchers, but not enough to pay FULL PRICE! **gasp**

If you REALLY want to talk about being a tramp, what about the long distance company deals around last Christmas? Wow! First, I changed to MCI for the $150 GC to Amazon. Then, about a month later, I changed to AT&T for the $50 Super Certificate. When MCI called to ask me if I really wanted to change, and why, my Mom said I should just admit to them that I was a telephone whore, and would go with whoever could offer me the best deal. I feel so cheap and slutty!
