Thanks for posting that. I have another question though. I have not been listening to the news much and I am not sure how these checks are working. I have not paid tax in the last few years, I have gotten earned income credit and gotten money back. How do these checks work? Does everyone get one or just people who have technically paid tax? It says my check will go out 8-13 on that calculator, but I am just not sure I will get a check. Can anyone help me with this please?

According to the website: "In no case will the refund check exceed the actual amount of federal incomes taxes paid in 2000." So, in your case I would not expect a refund to be issued. Thanks to the OP for this info. A mid-summer check will be nice for us.

| Start looking in your mailbox. We got our letter that stated exactly how much we were getting and when it would be mailed (Week of August 20 for us) on Saturday. On the news earlier in the week, it said if you are getting one of the "rebate" checks you would recive one and sure enough we and our parents got their's, all on Saturday. We get the full $600, so do our parents. It is based on Adjusted Gross Income listed on your tax form it is 5% of that income up to and not exceeding $600.00 for married fileing jointly, $500.00 for head of household and $300.00 for single. Hope this helps!
