I know what you mean!!! I just rented it a couple weeks ago! What an awesome movie! If only everyone had an ounce of the (what's the word I'm looking for?) Gumption? that kid had! What a wonderful world it would be! It does remind me of elf too!

It's definitely a great movie.. unfortunate ending but great movie...

what would be even better is if others would follow in the footsteps and try to do something good for another person they don't even know.

I try to do that often.. and I honestly admit this is true.

I've had the book for close to a year, but haven't read it yet. I want to see the movie. Has anyone done both? Should I read the book first, or see the movie first?

Usually, I like to read the book, then see the movie. The only exception to that has been John Grisham's "A Time to Kill." Movie was WAAAAAY better than the book.
