  Why can't SOME single men respect the relationships of married men with their wives? Last weekend while we were visiting our parents, (who live about a 3-4 hour drive away) a friend of DH's stopped by to say hello. DH hadn't seen this friend in almost 4 years...so they went to their vehicles and played with their "toys" (stereos, speakers, amps, etc..) anyway, the guy was having trouble with his stereo system but since he didn't have the manual with him, hubby couldn't figure out what was wrong. (he installs his own car stereo equipment) Anyway, yesteray DH looked up the manual for the amp and he called the friend to tell him the idiots at BestBuy installed it wrong. While they were talking, the friend told him that he and his co-workers get drunk every night after work (REAL MATURE) and that they often go to strip clubs. He told hubby that he should go with them!! WTF is that?! Now, I don't have a problem with single guys going to those places, if that's how they get their kicks so be it. I also don't have a problem with married men going IF their wives are ok with it, that's their busines. He told DH that he's invited other of their friends (all married) and they turn him down, too. Gee, I wonder why?! Ugh! and what made me MORE mad is that DH (damn, not dear hubby.  ) told the friend that he "can't" go to a strip club!!! No, he CAN if he wanted, just don't expect me to be here when he gets back.  He tells me he doesn't want to go, so why didn't he tell that to his friend? He's known this guy for years, you'd think he'd be able to tell him that that's not something he'd do. the way I see it, if my hubby wants to go to one of those places then why is he with me? I don't think I could be with a man who does that. I don't know who I'm more mad at, the friend for not having respect for our relationship or DH for not telling the friend he doesn't want to go to a strip club.  |

Bill was asked if he wanted to go see some women mud wrestling a couple of weeks ago. He said he would only go if he could come home and teach me the moves.  He has also been invited numerous times to strip clubs but is waiting until we can go together. He has been to them a couple of times in the past.(b4 our marriage, I might add) I think it would be fun to go check it out some time. BUt I agree Loca, there are always certain "men" who seem to think it is fun to stir up trouble like this. In my first marriage, my husband had tons of friends who were always trying to fix him up, take him out to clubs, parties , etc. I told him that some men (talking about specific friends of his) are lonely and miserable, that they secretly were jealous of all he had at home, and if he thought that would make him "happy", Go for it. But don't be surprised if I don't start making the rounds myself.

ARE YOU SURE YOU DON'T LIVE IN MY HOUSE????? Seriously, hubby and I have had this discussion a number of times. Where I live, there is only one of these places (thank God!), but it's really skanky. It's a "nude bottle club", because out here you can't serve alcohol in a strip club, so it's byob. Anyhow, his friends are always going and they're like "come with us!" He says he's "not allowed". I have said exactly the same thing you did about him being allowed, but don't expect me to be here when you get back!! Except I added some stuff about a brick through his truck window and all of his worldly possessions in flames on the lawn!! Anyhow, I don't think that this is even a strip club. In reality I think the place is a brothel. I mean, in order to get a lap dance, they have to take you out to the "back room" where no one can see!!!!! I think that's called prostitution!!! He keeps saying there's nothing wrong with it, that he wouldn't do anything like a lap dance (YEAH, RIGHT!). So I was talking to my dad about this once when we were at his house and he got all mad because I mentioned it. My question to him was, 'If there's nothing wrong with it, why does it bother you for people to know you want to go????" He had no answer. Oh, boy, I'm ranting now, but I agree with you totally!!!! I would choke him if I ever found out he went there!! |

You go Loca!!!! I would pack up my stuff sooooooo fast if my husband even HINTED at such a thing. As long as there are women stupid enough to disgrace themselves by taking off their clothes...there will be men who want to see it. Sorry, but this whole topic makes me ill...I coudn't be with a boy who did that....MEN, real men, are much better. |

Oh, monkee, could this be "Busty Hearts", I had to go on a call there when I was training to be an EMT, and happen to see several men that I knew that I was sure that there wives had no idea that they were there. My DH and I saw one of the guys and I said, "Where did I just see you?" I thought he was going to choke.

Oh, gee, Tami, how did you guess? You know I was flipping through the channels a couple of weeks ago and she was on the Man Show on comedy central! She was doing that thing where she crushes beer cans with her you-know-whats. GAG! She's soooooo gross! Oh, man, that's too funny! I would have ratted him out in a minute!! My uncle was supposed to be helping his SIL-to-be set up for his bachelor party downtown and instead they went to Crusty's. HE GOT BUSTED!! I laughed my a** off!! I think my aunt still wasn't speaking to him at the wedding!!! I simply could not stomach the thought of my husband sitting there hootin and hollerin or with some skank on his lap! I wouldn't even be able to look at him again, let alone let him lay a hand on me!!! UGH!!!!! |

If only women who say, waitress, could get paid as much as a stripper, I don't think too many women would be doing it. But they do get paid ALOT by men/or women who like to pay that amount of money. I suppose it could be called degrading but I think it is more degrading to have to PAY to watch somebody take there clothes off. From their(Busty Hearts) site there is a $15 dollar cover charge, BYOB and $20 dance(I'm not sure what that means).

That's true, Tami, but I think too many women are using the money as an excuse for what they're doing. I hear the "I'm doing it to raise my child--I need to feed and clothe my child" etc.... Ok, so you CAN make good money taking your clothes off BUT if you have children, is that what you want to teach them? That it's ok to show the world your top and/or bottom because you're making good money? And as for the single women, no children, who use education as an excuse.... "working my way through college" scenario well they're adults so they can do what they want. I do, however, think there are other more self-respecting ways to make money. You may not make as much, but you won't be disgusted with yourself later. and yes I agree that it's degrading for people to PAY to see it. Cindy, I hear ya! aack! I just read the last part you added. LOL |

It actually doesn't take a strip club to get me that upset...in fact, I decided the whole bar scene was old a long time ago...my husband took a while "warming" up to this...ahem... So, I think it took 2 times of ALL HIS WORLDLY BELONGINGS ON THE LAWN to drive my point home. LOLOL Yes, I did it and would again! I will never forget his favorite pair of boots...hahaha...someone actually PICKED THEM UP AND TOOK THEM!!!!!!! Gee, he was soooooo mad. LOL Ok, I blame the above craziness on my Italian temper. Nah, I am just nuts! LOL |
