| Usually the coupon is good until the end of business. I would write the manager/ owner of the business. If it is a chain car wash, get info about the ceo/ president, and write to him/her. You know the saying. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease".... Make your complaint heard..Then call the shelter about the deceit of the car wash and they should not use them again. Good Luck. |

| I can relate to your frustrtion! When I bought my house last year I got a ton of coupons in the mail from the local "welcome wagon". Well... when I went to use one of them for a free hair cut I was told they don't do welcome wagon anymore! When I said I just got the coupon 2 weeks ago, she still said they will not honor it. In turn, I emailed "Welcome Wagon" that sent this coupon booklet out and told them one of their sponors did not honor their own coupon. In turn, I got an appology and some different coupons from other local merchants!

| UPDATE OK, just talked to the manager. Now I'm really angry. He says that he is sorry but that the shelter was only supposed to print 200 books, which would be 400 coupons. Says he has already accepted over 2000 coupons and for a small business it really hurt. I told him that I thought he should have run an ad in the paper saying that "due to circumstances beyond my control, ect". He didn't say anything to that. I told him that I made a special trip into town and I was not a happy camper. He named several other businesses in town that he says also pulled the coupon yesterday. Well, when I hung up, I called one of the other businesses and they told me that no, they accepted the coupons all day till the close of business. So he lied to me on that. I think he was probably taken avantage of, but don't think he treated his customer fairly. I told him that I bet he really made alot of people mad and he says to me, that no actually most people understand. I told him, you mean if I had come in two days ago you would have washed my car, he said yes. Seems to me that one day would not have made much difference. Oh, well, you can bet I'll never go there. |
