How come only a "Select" few people can have Avatars??

I would LOVE to upload my avatar but seems like there's a "clitch" of some kind lurking in the program and only a select few people are allowed to have avatars. I find this to be DISCRIMINATION against those of us who are NOT part of the popular crowd.

AVATARS for ALL!!! That's all that I ask...a VERY simple request that I'm sure would make alot of people on the boards VERY happy! Thanks for listening!!

Britt, I didnt get one until I asked.. I am sure if you ask mayor or Darkwolf, they will gladly put one up for you. Make sure the one you want is attached to your post..

Ummm...these have nothing to do with being part of a "popular" crowd. It has to do with the fact that only two ppl. I know of know how to upload them because we can't do it ourselves. It's a matter of THEIR scheduling permitting it. Mayor and DarkWolf are so far the only ones I know of who can do this, we know Mayor can't be here all of the time and I wouldn't doubt if Scott (DarkWolf) was taking a break from all the "all nighters" he's been pulling to bring us these new features. Mayor posted yesterday that he was looking into us being able to upload our own, so it's just a matter of being patient.

To save time in having to do EVERY one of you, I've enabled the uploading. In order to upload your own custom avatar you MUST have at least 100 posts to the board. This may change for custom avatars at a later time once we have some defaults made, but we'll let you know.

Max size 19.5KB

You may upload from your computer or from a web site. It goes without saying to be tasteful in the avatars you choose.

P.S. It's not a matter of being in the popular crowd, it's a matter of me selecting a few people to test the software on and run a few pre tests before functions go active. It has after all been less then 3 days since we've upgraded. All of which I have been extremely busy with other features and have not had the time to implement avatars as a whole. As the saying goes, patience is a virtue..

I have said on SEVERAL threads that we are working on the ability for everyone to upload avatars. I believe it is now done. Members who have posted 50 times have the ability to upload an avatar. Click on PROFILE and then EDIT OPTIONS. We are working on some standard avatars that members with less than 100 posts can use.

Images can be as large as 100 x 100 pixels and 19KB in size.
