ah the good ol days, where did all the great online deals go????

it seems that in the past year or so (discovered DOD jan 2000) that the deals advertised on DOD have really changed....

some of my best finds were xmarksthespot.com (now gone) that probably sent me about $30 just for letting them use my personal info to register at different new e-tailers...... also got random checks from lifeminders.com (?) for about $20 for the same thing.....

used to be great $20 off $20 deals for first time buyers i remember at ourhouse.com, mothernature.com, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and various other online drugstores.......some of which no longer exist anymore

got a great pair of converse sneakers at boo.com for $5 after a deal code

bn.com used to have $10 off $10 codes....

what do y'all think???? are e-tailers and other online sites becoming hip to the fact that most people just take advantage of this great first time buyer deal and usually don't shop at their site again, thereby causing the site to loose a lot of business and profit????? what do you guys think is the reason for the lack of all these amazing $20 off $20 deals or other fabulous money saving offers online?????

Absolutely.. the face of e-commerce has definitely changed. Merchants can no longer afford to give away stuff like they used to. Those who have are involved in bankruptcy proceedings. It's sad but true.

However, DoD still strives to provide the very BEST in online deals! We've got 30 deals on the main page today! Certainly, there is something there for everyone.
