new boards copying DOD layout

I just learned about a new board at

where the threads and icons and basically everything looks like DOD. It is probably a compliment that the webmaster of this site picked this design, because it is very organized, plain, and with focus on things that matter.
But is also a very easy way out of designing something new and original.
Just my opinion, what does everybody else think?

I could be wrong about this. If I am wrong, please correct me someone.

Sandra - most of the deal boards are powered by a software named vBulletin. For all the boards using this software, the boards are going to look alike. They may or they may not be trying to copy DOD. We can't say for sure.

If they do, I am sure that Mayor would be very proud.

Yep, Dev & Mouse are right.

Besides.. you can copy certain things from Deal of Day.. but you'll never be able to match the cool people and great deals we have here!
