Question

Does anyone have any experience with the accounting packages that are out in the market? Has anyone used Microsoft Money yet? I have the software installed but I feel that there are a lot of things that I might not need! So, anyone know of any good accounting software, do let me know your experiences!

I am looking for a basic accounting software for my company wherein I can prepare vouchers for every expense and get Balance sheet at the click of a button! WOW! That would be great! I have used a software not long back named Tally which was excellent but I know that it is not available here. So any ideas would be great!

Talking Quick books

if you're a small biz that doesn't have a lot of physical inventory. Easy to use, easy to find p/t independent bookkeepers who know how to use it. A little discussed feature of quick books is no "audit trail", you can go in and change around figures and it adjusts everything as if that was your entry from the beginning.
Netledger is an online accounting program that more people are starting to use.

Quickbooks is a very easy program to use and you can do alot with it. I am not sure if you need to do payroll but it is very simplified........I tried looking at the peachtree software after I had used quickbooks and realized even more that its (QUICKBOOKS) a very very user friendly program.......
I really like it, My mother in law is not much into computers and she uses this program with no problems at all.

hi devlina

at home i use microsoft money ... and it is great for what i do ... which is just keeping track of my check registry in both checking and savings

at work we use peachtree accounting which is awesome .... they have every single aspect of account on their and the best part is you can use what you want ... from writing checks to printing checks right there. they also have where you can make accounts payable, accounts receivable and sales sheets.....make a quote (bid) and with a click of a button turn it into a purchase order and when needed turn that into a invoice alot goes into peachtree, so make sure you have the patience and want to take the time to learn it ... it will be worth it

good luck dev

I use Quickbooks for our personal stuff, QuickBookPro for our home based business. I agree, some of the products out there give too much for our needs. I find that these both do exactly what we need.

Peachtree

When I had a business with inventory I used Peachtree. There is a learning curve, as with everything, but it's great. Very powerful. When I did research into accounting software Peachtree generally stood out, especially if you have any inventory to deal with.

Now that I don't have inventory and just bill my time, I still use Peachtree. It's great for invoices and printing checks.

Good luck!
