PLEASE STOP THE HATE EMAILS, THE NAME CALLING THE THREATS, I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE CAUSE YOU DON'T USE YOUR REGULAR SCREEN NAME. I KNOW THE EMAILS I'M GETTING IS BECAUSE OF THE OFFICE DEPOT DEAL, THE THREATS HAVE TO STOP. I HAVE MY EMAILS MONITOR NOW, SO IF YOU WANT TO THREATEN ME, GO BY CAUTION, CAUSE YOU WILL GET CAUGHT, I THOUGHT THIS BOARD WAS A REALLY NICE BOARD, THEIR ARE SOME REALLY NICE PEOPLE HERE, AND I LIKE IT HERE, ALL I'M ASKING IS FOR YOU TO STOP IT PLEASE. Definitely go to the mods! I have been on this board awhile and have had no bad experiences even when I have contact outside the board. This should be a good time saving $ here. Hope you get this stopped.Everyone is entitled to an opinion no matter what it is and you should not be afraid to give it. I hope you get this cleared up. Not that it really will make a big difference, nasty e-mail is nasty e-mail, but I remember someone in that thread said that saying that our thread was linked to other boards, it may not even be someone from DOD but somebody else who has too much time on their hands. Rude remarks are one thing, threats are another.

whoever it is, you need to stop, there is no reason to threaten smileygirl...find something else to bide your time, if you can, obviously if you're that bent out of shape over a deal then you might need to talk to someone.

Not that I advocate this type of behavior in the least, but isn't his what Mayor said we should do? Instead of airing things publicly, take it to Email? I'm sorry you are having to put up with this smileygirl, I really am, but to my knowledge, the MODS or MAYOR have no control over private Email. The mayor said so himself in the unfortunate events last week. Even if the person is not using their DOD name, they are using a valid Email addy, right? You have posted for them to stop, now if they don't simply report them to their Email service provider, with copies of the Emails and a copy of this URL where you have publicly asked them to stop. You can Have their provider "TOS" them. Also, I agree with Cindy, maybe you should remover your Email addy from here until this calms down. This was one of my concerns when this was suggested in the other happenings, that I discussed with mayor last week. Again it is unacceptable behavior and I am so sorry you are having to deal with it and I hope this post stops it for you.

Very good point, I had forgotten all about that! I would deffinatly go the TOS route now, because it could/could not have been someone here and there is no telling how many boards it was on. That would be the only sure fire way to resolve this.

Thanks guys, for all the support, I'm sorry that I posted about the emails, I know I should have gone straight to DOD but, I didn't want to feel like a tattle tail, So I went on here to tell the people to stop, doing it. thanks again, now i'm going to get some more freebies and post them here, thanks again smileygirl

I have received one of these emails and proceeded to ban the user from posting at DoD. We have tracked the ip and know where it is coming from, so if the abuse continues, we will contact their isp. Even though the abuse was not public at DoD, our email system was used by the perpetrator.
