She is 28 weeks pregnant with twins and was rushed to the hospital in pre-term labor. She was 3cm dialated and they are trying to stop the labor. They also had to give the babies something to speed up the lung development.(From what I hear, this is VERY painful!) Please say a special prayer for her and the babies. Thank you!!

Okay, here is an update. They were able to stop her labor, but she will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. If everything is okay then, she can leave the hospital on complete bedrest for the duration of her pregnancy. I can't even imagine how she must be feeling.(She is allowed NO visitors and NO phone calls!) This is also her first pregnancy, which is frightening all in itself. I hope you will continue to keep her, the babies and her family in your prayers!! Thank you so much for the responses!

the no vis/no phone is so she can rest.if she has a voice mail at home leave her a short message there for her and her family that you care and if they need anything you are there for them.you can also send think of you cards/e-cards with the offer of help with household things like laundry/cleaning (hard to lay in bed and see a mess which you can not do anything about.yes prayers are sent hugs too.

If your friend is close by... You could try and help schedule meals for the family. I know with our last one our small group from church planned out meals for us and it was such a blessing.. I was praying for the family earlier during the day. Just didn't get to post..

My thoughts and prayers are with your friend and her babies. I went through the same thing when I was 28 weeks along with my son. I was also put on complete bed rest. My son was born healthy. Although he was 4 weeks early, his lungs were fine. I thought maybe if your friend heard a similar story, she might feel a little better. We will all be praying for her and her babies.

I'm Agnostic, but I'll do what I can--I have twin daughters myself (although they are kittens--they mean as much to me as anyone else's brats--and OMG are mine brats!) I will put out my most positive thoughts that her beautiful new children will be safe and perfect and bring her as much torment and ecstatic joy as my brats! |

My thoughts are with your friend. I have known a few people in similar circumstances. I know it can be very stressful If you think of the Septuplets and how well they are doing now (a couple have some issues but the majority are thriving) It is amazing what modern medicine can do. She'll have to get Webtv so she can lay on the couch and check of DOD when she is on bed rest. I am sure everyone here could help find her some great deals for her twins.
