hmsram~~ My hubby's the same way!! LOL He quit on Jan 1st and I was going to try also BUT I did cut back for a little while!! He was complaining about the smoke and putting me down and all. He finally shut up about it though!! But you did go 6 days. I am very proud of you. Next time try for 7 days. Eventually you WILL do it!! I feel good about quitting when I think of it and tell myself I AM GOING TO QUIT but when the day I am supposed to quit comes I just can't seem to do it. One of these days I will..I will, really.. I will!!!

Hey I am proud of you six days is six days. I couldn't stay quit for that long until the last time that I quit and it has been almost a year now. We won't talk about the weight but I have started working on that now. Hang in there and don't let hubby get you down I am sure he has some bad habit you don't like. Mine lets me fall in the tolit in the middle of the night because he leaves the lid up.

At least you made a sincere effort! You were genuinely trying to quit and THAT is what matters. I hope that you will be able to quit it some time in the near future. Did you try cutting back little by little? That is how I quit......I quit it in 1997 and then I did not smoke till now. And now, I don't feel like doing it at all. Made my husband quit too.....he used to smoke when we got married but then made him cut down little by little and I suffered the brunt of his anger but NOW everything is fine and I am happy that he quit.

I cut back alot from what i was smoking. Possibly because I have to go outside, which really doesnt bother me. Sometimes when I would sit in front of the computer. I think I would just smoke way to much. So now having to go outside is better because I am to afraid to leave my computer spot once I get the chance to get on LOL |

Hmsram...don't let it get you down. You will get there. I mean, I quit last year for 3 months...cold turkey, was a living b***h, my husband kept saying, why don't you just go buy a pack and get it over with. Well I took those as "fighting words" and stuck to my guns and proved he wasn't going to convince to to start again. Well I did it for 3 months. On New Years 2000 I bought a pack. Then 3 months later in March I quit again. It's been almost a year now. And even sometimes to this day, I have considered stopping and buying a pack. When stress get's too high. But I don't...I am just saying, hang in there. Take it alittle at a time. I gained 10 lbs...and it sucks, but easy to lose...I hope to lose more. I am rooting for ya!!! |
