What simple recipes do you have for it?

Re: Cream Cheese

Fruit Dip

3 oz cream cheese softened
1 jar of Fluff, marshmellow cream

Soften cream cheese. Mix w/ Fluff.

If too thick, add a little milk.
Some people like it a little lumpy others prefer smooth.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serve with fresh fruit slices - apples, bananas, pears, pineapple, grapes. (Some fruit will need lemon juice to keep them fresh.)

Makes a delightful party dip that everyone will love.

Re: Cream Cheese

I make THE BEST dessert with cream cheese - trust me, if you make this for a party, at least 2 people will ask you for the recipe & the plate will be empty for you to take home!!

Cream Cheese Bars
Ingredients:
Two 8 oz bricks cream cheese, softened
Two packages refrigerated crescent rolls (in the tube)
1c sugar
1tsp vanilla
1/2 stick butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1tsp cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350*
2. Unroll one tube of the crescent rolls into the bottom of a metal 9x13 baking pan. Be sure to stretch and pinch as needed so that there are no seams open (as much as possible)
3. Mix softened cream cheese and 1c sugar in a bowl & then spread over the crescent roll layer with a spatula.
4. Stretch and pinch the second tube of crescent rolls over the top of the cream cheese
5. Pour the melted butter over the top
6. Sprinkle the 1/4c sugar mixed with 1tsp cinnamon over the top
7. Bake @ 350* for 30 min.

Obviously not a diet recipe, but I have substituted both lowfat cream cheese and low-fat crescent rolls for this & it works pretty well! Enjoy!

Re: Cream Cheese

Hey freesurfer,
I have a recipe for a cream cheese pie that I have made occasionally. You fill a graham cracker crust (store-bought is fine) with drained, canned cherries, add the cream cheese mixture, and bake. Easy and very tasty. I can look it up and post it here if you still need ideas.

Just curious...do you have a lot of cream cheese you need to use up?
