Smile New Years Plans? :)

Hi,
It's Friday morning. Does anyone have plans for New Years Eve, day or the whole weekend? (lucky you if you do! LOL)
I'll be home, let's see, our cousin does come over to play cards, but that's on Saturday and it's every Saturday, so I don't think that counts.
I'll be making turkey soup, I "think" cuz it's getting cold out and it sounds good!
Otherwise, I might be here too!

What's up with you all?

Kat

We might go to a party that our couples group is having. Depends on if we're in the mood for a quiet evening at home or not

Re: New Years Plans? :)

I'm very close to my d-neighbors across the street (both he and she) and they're having a huge bonfire in their pit and fireworks. Several other neighbors are also invited to celebrate with them. So, I'll be there and here and also at DoD.

Re: New Years Plans? :)

We haven't yet decided how we will celebrate the new years day but one thing is sure: the fireworks are must. Every year we buy something small and cheap that explodes.

Re: New Years Plans? :)

Kat, it's very cold here now. We had 3 very cloudy and partly rainy cold days but the sun is out today. High yesterday was 55 (give or take). I saw my breath outside in the a.m. Winter is our rainy season.

Re: New Years Plans? :)

Tonight we're going to Jeffs uncles house for Christmas. Then tomorrow night, my best friend from grade school is coming over with her family so we can catch up on old times. We're ordering pizza and watching movies... To many crazys out on New Years eve. Around here and in St Louis, New Years eve is referred to Amateurs night. All the young kids who are of age to drink like to go out, get drunk and attempt to drive...

Re: New Years Plans? :)

We are starting it out in church and ending it in church. Sunday school in the morning (10am), then our reg evening survice(6pm) and then at 10 we will be at another church for the praying out the old year and in with the new. Going to be busy, but will be worth it!

Prayers for everyone to be safe!

Re: New Years Plans? :)

Our tradition has alwasys been to cook up some seafood. I remember eating shrimp and my Granny's potato salad when I was a little kid. Now with my family I cook the shrimp and potato salad and whatever else we have. We all actually sit at the dinner table and eat.

It is so nasty here today, so I don't think anyone will be shooting off fireworks, but then again, they still might in the rain.

Tomorrow is my bday, so I don't know what we'll do if any thing for that. My mom will probably come visit, so maybe we'll have some cake.

Re: New Years Plans? :)

We never made it to church last night for the praying the old year out and the new in. Selby (3) threw up twice on the way so we turned around and came home. He is feeling much better today, thank God!
