| Well, here on the E. Coast it's officially 9-11! Hi, I know many of us or most of us, whether we lived in or near New York, were very affected by this. And still are. So, maybe later on today, take some time out of your activitys and say a prayer for those who died, for those who helped and for those who lived through it all, and maybe a moment of silence as well. Blessings, Kat

| Re: Well, here on the E. Coast it's officially 9-11! Being 3 hours behind the East Coast, it was different for us. Events were already unfolding before we even woke up. I wake up to the radio and vaguely recall hearing a news report that a plane had hit the WTC, but I've never been to NYC and didn't know that was the name for those two towers I've seen in photos and in movies. So being a little groggy, I didn't think much about it at the time, till I turned on the TV after I got ready to take the kids to school and saw the horrible images. At school before classes started, I talked about the attacks with the other moms, and we were all in a state of shock and disbelief. Even that evening it seemed like it was all a dream...it was just hard to believe what was happening. Life sure changed in many ways that day ![]() |

| Re: Well, here on the E. Coast it's officially 9-11! True, It's also the day "after" our sons birthday, so there's not much chance of forgetting it. And while we've lived in CT (not too far) almost all our lives and also have good friends in NY, where were we living on 9-11? Florida!!!!!!! First thing I did was grab the phone and try calling friends to make SURE they were all right as possible... and of course all I got was a busy signal and then an operator's recording telling us not to call as there was an emergency! No kidding. But they were right, they needed the phones open for much more important things that day, so I waited and in a couple days, we started to get calls from friends there.... they were bodily ok, but not spiritually.
