Cyber World Saftey...

As a woman that lives by herself I have made it my habit to try and find ways to keep myself from harms way. One thing that has concerned me is that someone should use information that can be collected about me while I am on-line.

In the past few years we have begun to handle a large portion of our life in what I have begun to see as the Cyber World. It is a place where our personal information is floating around waiting to be snagged to be used by someone we don't know. This is a scary thing to me...I don't have much of value but what I have I don't want to lose!

So...I ran across this little article and think the information is something important enough to share with others. Some of these suggestions are things I never thought of!

Hi Carol,

That's not the first time AOL's gotten their info stolen. And probably won't be the last. The hackers are getting younger and younger and also better at what they do. There are websites that walk you through all you need to know and AOL has always been a target, as has Microsoft, which was down for two weeks awhile back.
I don't usually do any of the things in that article, especially searching for my own name! Also, a good search engine to use which won't come on your IPS's page, is either [Only registered and activated users can see links. I had an online business for about 3 1/2 years and never had one problem. Hang in there....
